I haven't received a 50 crystal Transmute Geode in months... Was Imperial City gimped by ZOS?

I just realized it has been months since I have received a big 50 stone Transmutation Geode as a canpaign reward. Is this because I only play in the Imperial City? If the reason is because IC is no longer considered a "campaign" in the Alliance War, I'm going to go nuts.

ZOS, those of us who are fighting for our faction in the Imperial City are putting are our lives on the line every day. We deserve the same rewards (at least) as the zerglings and ball groups who infest upstate Cyrodiil!

This glaring and unjust imbalance needs to be fixed ASAP, preferably via a hot patch.

Yes, IC is disconnected from Cyrodiil faction campaigns now and that's the reason why you don't get your geodes.

I’m actually still unsure about his myself. Did you select a home campaign for Cyrodiil?

I play 90% IC as well and my mnb had a tier 3 reward but I couldn’t remember if I had went into Cyrodiil long enough to get that ap. But part of me says there’s no correlation between IC and cyro anymore for rewards.

Didnt think you could home the IC campaigns? Thats what the geodes are tied to. And at the end of the campaign. Does IC have campaigns?

I'm getting Rewards of the Worthy every day, but those only have the little Geodes. I rack up at least 100 to 200,000 AP every week, so it's not from lack of playing.

I wasn't under the impression you could "home" them. I'll check in a minute and see...

UPDATE: You can NOT "home" the IC campaigns.

Not helping your alliance by running around in Ic rather than helping them in the war should continue to not give any geodes.
Be thankful that there's no further penalties for such deserters

Yeah, if you can't home them and there is now end of campaign, you will not get the end of campaign rewards. Thats where the 50 comes from only the 30 day campaigns. 7 days get smaller ones.

IC has no scoreboard or leaderboard attached to it. You may be fighting for your faction but it does nothing, overall, for the Cyrodiil war which is what the rewards are attached to. The 50 transmute is if you are in the reward tier on the leaderboard. It's really easy to get. Spend an hour up in Cyrodiil and you will get it.

That was why they disconnected IC from Cyrodiil in the first place...because IC does nothing to aid in the actual war and slots for PVP in Cyrodiil were being taken up by people in IC who were not contributing to the leaderboard. So, in retrospect, you aren't doing anything for your alliance except increase Tel Var.

I’m afraid you no longer earn alliance reward levels or end of campaign rewards for your efforts in Imperial City or the Sewers beneath.

It seems the Generals have withdrawn support for forces in the area, preferring to focus on the infrastructure in Cyrodiil.

You’re on your own. May Meridia protect you.

Apparently so, but ZOS needs to rectify this, because those Generals don't what they're doing, LOL.

Winning control of the City has always been important in Elder Scrolls lore. This fact should be reflected in the monthly rewards.

This is actually a nerf. Why make the imperial city "experience" part of cyrodiil if you're simply going to completely disconnect it?

Good luck encouraging players to go there outside of the event. It'll just become a place of pve farmers and occasional gankers.

Yeah, this is a really good point. With the IC event just hours away, you would think ZOS would want to make it clear that IC is an important and valued part of the PvP experience.

I'd also like to point out that this loss of monthly geodes was never mentioned in any patch notes.

Could @ZOS_GinaBruno or @ZOS_JessicaFolsom please clarify the official stance on this issue?

From Elsweyr patch notes:

"Home Campaign status is still needed for earning Leaderboard rewards at the end of Campaigns and participating in Emperorship leaderboards."

When Els first came out I missed out on my monthly rewards bc I didn't set a home campaign.

There are no monthly rewards for IC in general but even if there were, you'd have missed out since you didn't set it as home in the first place.

OK, but that's all very vague, from my point of view. I had no idea my 50 stone geodes had anything to do with Leaderboards which I've never seen in the first place. All I knew was that my Geodes were coming in the mail every month like clockwork. And now they aren't.

ZOS should have made it a lot more clear that there was going to be a DOWNSIDE to playing in the Imperial City that didn't exist before. Also, there really isn't any good reason for not giving IC the same status as the "upstate" campaigns.

Those are fine ideas. Hopefully ZOS will address this imbalance as soon as possible.

It's kinda hard to feel sorry for someone who engages in faction hopping to kill their own alliance members for telvar. That's hardly the honorable "fighting the enemy" stance you're claiming.

Campaign rewards have been linked to a home campaign for a long time. Since before faction locks. It just happened that you homed in a campaign and then ducked out to IC. Since you can only home in one campaign and IC is separate, ZoS did the right thing by not locking these and allowing people to play both a Cyrodiil campaign and an IC campaign. If you need that 50 transmute stone at the end of the month, go do Cyrodiil like everyone else.
