Most of the time when I read a book I can see when it says "already stored in library" sure enough its there. However, I now have "riddles of the rithana-di-renada" and a few others that say they are in the library but they are not. I cant figure out if I can safely get rid of it or not. And if yes, then where on earth is it so that I can refer back to it? Its defo NOT in the library which seems to be only shalinor books.

Have you completed the Mage's guild questline? That stores every single scrap of paper you read read in you lore section.

Yes, it's called Eidetic Memory. Books and notes which aren't Lorebooks (glowing blue) get stored there instead. But you're unable to access the list until you've completed the Mages' Guild questline.

A bit annoying if your character isn't even slightly magey.

Why annoying? I guess books, scrolls and rune dealings are supposed to be a part of profession to those whose intelligence is their primary attribute. Sorcerers, conjurers, sages, various mages. For other classes and their subs the ABCs for Barbarians would be quite enough :D.

I believe you can also view your Eidetic Memory via the Lorebooks add-on if you don’t want to unlock it through the questline.
