Most amazing thing happened last night

I wanted to get chudan monsterhelm with a specific trait, and I usually pug A LOT, but since I'm a dps I was 30 minutes in to my que before I decided to get a group in zone chat.
Said and done, I got picked up by another dps and a healer. We qued for veteran mazzatun and Cradle of shadows(for the motif), que popped and we got a real tank.
It didn't take long before we realised we played well together, so we'll that we in fact got the skins(speed, no death and all that) in both cradle of shadows and ruins of mazzatun.
And yes I did get my helmet in the trait I wanted and vekidreth stylepage.
It felt unreal, but I guess sometimes it just happens.

I've read so many horror stories... I figured there had to be a flip side somewhere, even though you almost never see it in any forum

All those things were happening in mmorpgs before Group Finder became a thing.

I had a somewhat similar run of luck a couple weeks ago. After the recent patch changes, I decided I wanted to replace my Rattlecage resto staff with a Rattlecage destro staff - preferably frost. It drops in Vaults of Madness. I've done that dungeon (normal) as a duo with a friend numerous times and know it pretty well. I've run it with pugs several times but the mechanics there are not pug friendly. So I decided to solo it. I've soloed several normal alliance zone dungeons but nVoM would be stretching my limits a bit. Well, it worked fine - by soloing I could go at my own pace with full control over my tactics and it actually worked better than pugging it. The icing on the cake is that the final boss (Mad Architect) dropped Vengeance (Rattlecage frost staff) - exactly what I had dared hope for!PC NA(no Steam), PvE, mostly solo1 -

✭✭✭✭✭I just do the run once and use my MANY ( that can't be stacked ) transmute stones to change it, open a geode and stock back on the 50 I just used1
