If LYRIS is partial giant...shouldn't GIANTS be a playable race!?

That need not be a -race-; as they still would follow the TES lore-stipulated "Racial traits of the mother but -traces- of the father".Instead of actualy Giants, perhaps a half-giant race like Lyris.
So... Lyris (which is not a half-giant per se, more like... descendent from a half-giant somewhere in her fathers line) would have the racial traits of a nord, but -traces- of her fathers giant-blood as noticable by her overgrown height...
...which would be something of a "structural unlock" they -really- ought to be selling in the crown store for this and many other character build ideas!
Let us pay to play taller then possible "titanbborn" nords!
Let us pay to play stouter then possible imperial matrons that make the best pasta!
Let us pay to play shorter then possible breton dwarves who drink wine and know things!
Let us pay to play more muscular then possibe orcs people wouldn't like if they got angry!

Let us pay to play tinier then possible petite dunmer assassins that can squeeze through any arrowslit!
Let us pay to play skinnier then possible necromancers that look like they -really- need a sammich right now!
Yeah, I would enjoy those character diversifications!
They could even do something special with all those... like, make them an extra racial trait that has both positive and negative effects. Titanborn? Sure, you get a bit to weapon damage, but you also get less critical resistance since your vital areas are just so much larger... Dwarf? Sure, you maybe get the opposite - more critical resistance because your vitals are harder to hit, but also a penalty to weapon damage for your stubby arms... extra-fat character? Sure, you get an HP bonus for all that blubbler, but you also get a penalty for sprinting stamina drain because... of the same. Extra-skinny character? The opposite. Extra-muscular character gets a bonus to armor penetration due to heavy blows, but a penalty to critical hits because of all that muscle costing in agility, extra petite character the opposite. Et cetera...
There are actually at least two or three other nord characters that are taller then any nord you could make. Une among the undaunted IIRC, and definitely the giant-meat-eater NPC in eartmarch for example... so... Lyris is not -that- unique in this particular regard...TequilaFire wrote: »No! I know my Breton lore it is my favourite race. ✭✭✭✭✭noMaybe some sort of half giant but giants walking around everywhere? No probably not. Right off the bat there would probably be lots of issues with camera angles in tight spaces such as dungeon areas and smaller buildings, they would just get in the way of combat view, hit boxes would be gigantic and make it really hard to target other players in PvP. And then there’s class passives. Something like weapon damage and resistances, maybe health recovery m. Too much room for them being OP or too close to either Nord or Orc passives. If they introduce a new race it would have to be pretty unique. But everyone’s always yelling about racial balance and if they did bring in a new one it would naturally be quite strong for the purpose of sales so I’d rather they just let it be.0 -
CaptainBones✭✭yesTheir racial passives should give them a 30% chance to knock people across the map with each 2h swing and a 10% chance to summon a mammoth for 10 seconds that deals 50k damage every 2.5 seconds when you get a kill with any one handed weapon.
