I am a stamina nightblade who is currently a purist dual wielder with daggers on back and front bars.
I currently wear toothrow and hundings rage sets (I think, from memory) with selenes shoulder and hat.

What are some good and high dps rotations that work well please?

As an actual answer, take the meta build from the alcast site and swap endless hail for something like caltrops and maybe find another single target DoT to replace poison injection. You are shooting yourself in the foot not using a bow back bar though.

OK thank you very much for your answer. I'll consider using a bow but not to shoot myself in the foot.

Double dual wield actually works pretty well on a Stam DK. They have two decent class dots, and you can free up bar space and go back to stacking molten whip buffs for the extra 225 weapon damage. Go with Master dual wield infused daggers on the back bar, which will proc a berserk glyph and a poison glyph with deadly cloak. The poison glyph helps a DK get extra combustion procs almost every 2 seconds and extra poison status damage, which is a bit stronger for a DK. You also get the extra 10% crit from 2 daggers on the back bar, which would buff 30-40% more of the damage since you're on the back bar 3-4 seconds out of 10. And without a bow equipped, the time gap from arrow barrage goes away so the rotation is zipped up tighter, which also contributes to DPS.

It's not as good on a Nightblade since there aren't as many dots in the arsenal, but you could add some other stuff into the rotation to help make up for some of the lost dps.

    Back bar:
vigor, rending slashes, deadly cloak, dark shade, barbed trap, incapacitating strike

    Front bar:
Relentless focus, trapping webs, a spammable, soul trap, killers blade, incapacitating strike

For a Non-VMA rotation you could use the spiders before the assassin's scourge proc every 5 seconds, it's pretty decent damage and a 5m radius AOE as well.

Caltrops has been nerfed. Its only effective in certain content, i.e. slowing the wolves in the vMHK boss fight, but it does not put out the damage it used to. That soul splitting trap is the new AOE-like attack. Or you can go dark shades (according to alcast). Haven't tried it.

What I can say is AOE attacks for stamina blows now. I still run my stamblade, as he puts out tons of single target damage, but run my sorcs if I am doing something that is AOE heavy. Still can't believe they nerfed caltrops.

Thank you Bladerunner1 and El_Borracho I'm going to try things out and if I can't work it with dual wield I'll try the bow.

Ok so my single target output has increased a lot following this advice (on the precursor target) although I need a lot more practice.

I have on my bars now:
    Bar 1
Killers Blade, Lotus Fan, Surprise Attack, Relentless Focus, Steel Tornado and Ultimate is Rend

    Bar 2
Reapers Mark, Soul Splitting Trap, Trap Beast, Shadow Image, Shrouded Daggers and Ultimate Soul Tether

I got my single target from 8000 to 14000-18000 which is a big improvement for me.

    any other advice appreciated.

Your skills are an interesting mix of PVP and PVE. Shadow Image, Steel Tornado, and Soul Tether are primarily PVP skills. I haven't used Reaper's Mark in a while. And I think Soul Tether was something used for magblades.

I've never used Lotus Fan. I've gone with Ambush (a while ago in PVE, still use in PVP).

Here are the mandatory skills if you are going to run PVE as a stamblade. Leeching Strikes is your main source of sustain. Trap Beast will eventually morph into Barbed Trap, used for DOT. Relentless Focus, you have. Killer's Blade is your execute. Ultimates should be Incap and Flawless Dawnbreaker. Poison Injection is your bow DOT that works with the Master's Bow to up damage. VMA bow is also just as good.

As for options, AOE on bow is either Arrow Barrage or Endless Hail. Some builds in the past have incorporated Acid Spray, but I don't know how effective those are now. I prefer the alcast rotation of Rapid Strikes + Rending Slashes for my primary attacks, but Steel Tornado could be effective with mob-heavy content, as can Shrouded Daggers (thinking of something like BRP). I used to use Surprise Attack before Elsweyr and you can always use Blood Craze, too.

Basically, you should build to your playstyle, but its really hard to be effective in group PVE or PVP with a mixed-skill build. If you are looking to play around and do overland questing, you can do anything you want; there's no right or wrong. But you will have a hard time cracking 30K DPS, which is the recommended baseline damage for veteran DLC dungeons or veteran trials, if that is what you are looking to do.

Others have said it, but check out alcast and xynode's builds and rotations for a starting point. Find one that works for you, play with it, tweak it, and work on your rotation if you feel like that is the one for you. Things like CP points, foods, potions, etc. will help up your damage.

Finally, stamblades are not the easiest to play. I love playing with them, but I also run magsorcs and petsorcs when I feel like not mashing buttons all night. Also looking into making a stamcro as those are currently super powerful. Check out all options. But most of all, have fun. This game shouldn't feel like a job

Thanks so much. I'll reread and have another go tomorrow. I got it up to 23000 dps tonight with practice and moved a few skills around on the bars to make it easier. I'm trying to keep it fun. I think I will struggle to give up lotus fan because I enjoy using it too much so I kept that.
