I don't assign cp whille i level a new character.

And depending on how much of a hurry i am in. I might not even bother crafting a set of training gear.

This and I would think it is obvious for most of us.

I go much harder than this and still fall asleep. I've never in my 1500 hours crafted any training set.

So do vet dungeons and trials then.

By that time I already went through 90% of the game.

well sounds like you need a game that suits you better maybe MMOS aren't for you if you want it to be harder.

Veteran players should be able to enjoy exploring and questing too. That's a huge part of this game and represents the lion's share of content. Expecting high level players to just stay in dungeons and trials isn't reasonable.

So there needs to be a higher level option for players who want a more challenging landscape. Those who like the current difficulty could simply refrain and stay in the current instance. It's a win win.

there does need to be options like in any game, but for now vets will just have to make do with their options, since ZOS can't fix the issues they have with all the bugs.

Sure, why not, as long as it's purely optional.

personal overland Battle Spirit with more debufs than just healing reduction. Problem solved.
Also devs called this idea "great" (ZOS answer on reddit), though it is not in their plans for now.

    Found:
Q: are there any plans to implement a more challenging overworld for veteran players (e.g. a difficulty toggle like Battle Spirit where you'd get debuff like 50% more damage taken and 50% less healing and damage done in exchange for a chance for mobs to drop zone furnishings and/or other rare items). It is disappointing to see solo quest bosses being hyped up as super powerful, then dying in 10 seconds.
A: Yes, we've talked about this, in fact we tried to get that into the game as part of One Tamriel, but we just couldn't get it done. So we have ideas on how to have difficulty settings for overland content, but it's not currently planned. It's a great idea.

Seems like a good idea for people who would use vet instances. I'd never use it, but there seem to be a lot who would.

Yes, ZOS needs to introduce some kind of optional way to make overland engaging for players who know how to block and roll-dodge. Spending 30k gold each time to reset all passives and CP if you wanna make an overland quest is not an option.

I have been advocating for a while now to introduce a food or beverage that will lower a players abilities. Could be a variety of foods and drinks affecting all kinds of things.
and then the parrot said, "must be the water mines green too."

I have not assigned CP on my lowbies. World pve is (mostly) easy enough to not notice and totally forget about it.
