PC Players, Can You Trot?

https://youtu.be/kCZly4sNqmEWhile riding I was pondering. For you PC guys (who don't use gamepads), the keyboard only allows you three distinct movement speeds. Walk, Run, and Sprint. Well on a Gamepad the thumb stick allows you a full range of speed between walk and run. Mounted, I realized there's a separate animation for this interval speed for Horses so they start trotting, and I thought, players who use Keyboards might not have ever seen this. Then my mind was blown.

Ogou✭✭✭✭✭As far as I know, nope. Some personalities, like the jester, even have an animation that you can't trigger on keyboard and mouse.2 -

✭✭✭✭✭If you want variable speeds on PC, you have to use a controller. Not sure how they could make it work on keyboard other than requiring multiple clicks of either the shift or walk keys. That would mess with combat flow so ZOS chose to give us what we have on PCEnjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

✭✭✭✭✭EDIT: Nevermind, I thought that was the walk animation. I guess you get 4 speeds with a controller, but only 3 with keyboard.

I do this every now and then - on Xbox. If I played this on PC... I would do it there, too... since I use a controller when a game supports it well. Playing a game with a keyboard and mouse, blows! When I don't have a choice... it's a little better, because I use a trackball. Chasing a mouse on a mousepad/desktop sucks!0 -
Zorrin✭✭✭✭✭You can trot if you keybind Walk/Run toggle and then "walk" on either a max speed mount or on an untrained mount after casting rapids.
Edit: Additionally once you train speed up to like 15 I think it is, you lose the canter animation and you just end up with "slower gallop" and "faster gallop" lolEdited by Zorrin on August 30, 2019 6:29AM0 -
