Would this likely work as a healing setup?

Hey all, I'm leveling a Templar. Basically I'm putting everything into healing/magicka. Minus I'm also building heavy armor, two handed and for every 5 points I put into magicka I put one into health. Basically for those who played WoW I'm trying to go for a Holy Paladin that also happens to do decent damage with a two handed weapon(solo questing, kind of necessary)

I know next to nothing about this game, will this be a reasonable path to follow for successfully healing dungeons, etc. as I make my way to 50? Currently lvl6.

I should add I'm not building two handed attacks, just the thing that adds 13% splash damage and extra armor and magic resist with heavy armor.

For us templar healers, the main problem is always magicka.

While wearing heavy armor can get you more protection, it doesn't help you with the magicka regeneration or the spell costs. This can be somehow balanced by playing a race with magicka bonuses like the bretons or the high elves and by the consumption of food or potions.

The ratio of the point distribution you are using needs to be changed as you'll need stamina for the two handed weapon (attacks and blocks).

Rather than adding stamina, which won't help healing, I'd drop your 2-h sword and use destruction staff for questing. It's damage is based off your high Magicka, unlike the 2-h sword.

Keep in mind that you won't be getting any exp from dungeon kills and cannot level by healing dungeon groups. So it's up to you how much to invest in healing skills that you won't get to use all the time.
