It is customary that when a player hits CP1000, others give him a cookie - an emote or meme, rarely a sweetroll in game.
I just hit CP1000 myself. I did it on my newest character while preparing her for PvP. But I'm not in the mood to eat or see a cookie.
Since level one I've been melting everything around me while wearing just a training gear. My blastbones were rarely even attacking enemies, because before the skeleton rose up, everything around was already dead. I had the same experience on every single character after my first one. The overland content, the quest bosses, the delve bosses - all of them drop like flies. Overland bosses are bullet sponges while providing just a miniscule amount of challenge. Delve bosses drop before I finish a single rotation.
I tried nerfing myself by using recovery food. I tried fighting without any buffs. Mobs simply can't overpower even my health recovery. The singleplayer content (except of vMA) is simply far too easy. It's too easy to even be enjoyable. The only time I had some challenge with that new character was when I went to a Craglorn delve that had a plus by it's icon.

NERF ME PLEASE!

I don't suggest a carpet nerf to all pve players or a buff to overland content. I know that there are people who are still learning how to play this game. But a NIGHTMARE MODE would breath in some new life to this amazing game. It would be completely optional. I don't even need any incentive to turn it on, other than more challenge and fun. It wouldn't be for all players - just for veterans who like to have some challenge.

You've posted a rather long buff overland thread.

I know what you mean, but end game PvE and the hardest content really seems to be team orientated (dlc dungeons, trials)

You can solo some dlc dungeons, that's challenging

I already have, not all of them but I'm planning on doing even DSA and Blackrose.

That's pretty bamf, I'm especially interested in black rose, let us know how that goes. That'd be pretty awesome

Well, why don't you just try with removing all your CP points and leave them undistributed?
That plus the Training gear on Blue quality should make your Char a lot "weaker"

Don't know really, just something you could try.

But a new dlc with a zone like craglorn (with more solo content, but much harder) would also be awesome.

There should probably be a "keep the perks but not the stats" toggle for CP for those who don't want the boosts but want the QOL upgrades. Or vet instances would be good.

Solo content in ESO is much easier than any single-player game I've ever played, even set to 'easy' or 'rookie' mode. People will suggest doing group content solo for challenge, but that does nothing to make the 1000s of hours of questing available any more interesting.

I forgot to mention that I used only enough CP to get qol stuff like fast gathering and better drops.
I also play with a gamepad and without a reticle and buffs/debuffs notifier to make it more challenging.

They just need to make it so overland content scale higher than cp160.. make all delve bosses scale to cp 400 and world bosses scale to cp 600, dungeon and trial bosses to max CP.

I started playing just before IC and arrived at the OPs position by the time Orsinium came out. Perhaps look out for the broom and bucket in the crown store ;).

Tried DSA on normal once, but it's group content. You can't be everywhere at once to prevent zombies turning into gargoyles, and so on. I find DSA bosses tedious at the best of times.

You can breeze through some of the lesser dungeons on vet, only for a boss to defeat you with mechanics you can't beat (Fungal 2) or that make the fight very tediuos (Spindleclutch Whisperer).

Every area has one world boss harder than the others. Try soloing the Hunter camp, in the Rift, the mag DK whip boss in western Stonefalls, or maybe the Unfinished Dolmen in Wrothgar. The latter is easy enough with two. I never got a chance to solo it yet, as other people turned up.

If you find Craglorn group delves interesting enough, you could turn your misfortune into gold by selling Skyreach runs ;).

I have always thought that CP should be disabled in overland but then again, if someone wants to play God Mode in Overland content with their 810cp points, Trial gear, gold weapons, monster helm, and crit pots.... who am I to take away their enjoyment?

I can disable to my own CP. When new content comes out, I play my main with basic gear and remove all champion points. (Of course, I mean Overland content. Pretty sure my guild would disband me if I showed up with Vampire Kiss). Is the storymode Dark Souls difficult? No but it isn't playing Hello Kitty Island Adventures either.

I don't know. I feel cheesy fighting overland mobs in the same gear that I fight vet dungeon/trial mob bosses with.

I have soloed them all long time ago. Only the hunger from Vvardenfell was unsoloable due to it's jump and sucking attack.

I agree with your OP. I don't quest for exactly that reason. Doubt they'll change it, though. PvP? It's what I do.

I also switched to PvP... but then the insane lag chased me away.
If we had a nightmarre mode, we could better prepare for PvP. Right now it's useless to cast any healing or buffing abilities in pve. If we could do that in pve, then we would definitely have more skilled PvP players and more fun.
