Why is nearly every single dungeon full of fire?

I of course never paid much attention to this until I became a vapire.

HOLY MOLY!

Like every single dungeon is FULL of FIRE!

They're either entirely full of fire breathing mobs, fire spewing bosses or have tons of fire aoe.

It's insane to see just how much fire there is in dungeons. Did they even forget there are other elements?

Where's all the frost mobs?
Where's all the lightning mobs?
Where's all the 'magic' damage mobs?
Where's all the disease based mobs?
Where's all the physical based mobs?

Good lord guys!

And of course now we get dragons added to the game.............. MORE FIRE!

ZOS full of pyromaniacs!

Someone put a stop to this!

Have you seen a fire brigade anywhere in Tamriel?

Clumsy dungeon dwellers stumble over a candle, and there's no one to put the fire out.

If it's any consolation, fire damage you receive from being a vampire is a joke. It's only worth concerning yourself over maybe vhof triplets if you're on left side [maybe just stick to stage 2 or something] and vSS fire boss, but otherwise you'll be fine.

I have the same thought as this

    Zos lacks imagination.

They love fire but the (pyromancer) magic version of DK is lack luster. That whip should have been fire balls.

Look at every class, they suck in terms imaginative creativity and this aint meant to be an insult either.

The sorcerer is the only class to be spot on.

Dungeons are dull and boring, trials content is a joke! The skins are like a 10 year olds school notebook full of doodles and scribbles.

It's only 15% additional fire damage at stage 2, which is barely noticeable. If you go up to stage 3, you take 20% additional fire damage, but you also get a 33% boost to your overall resistance when your health drops below 50% (so the extra fire damage is pretty much completely negated). CP passives also reduce elemental damage by a huge amount.

Basically, if you died from fire damage as a vampire, you probably would have died there as a non-vampire too.

My complaint wasn't so much about taking fire damage as a Vampire as much as it was at simply how much fire damage there is in the game.

    Where's the diversity?

    Serious lack of imagination.

I blame the Daedra. Dungeons without daedra usually aren't saturated with fire. Yeah, I know the Lava Queen says Hi, and so does the whole of Bloodroot Forge. But the general point isn't crazy.

    Where's all the frost mobs?

    Direfrost keep, Frostvault. Scalecaller Peak
    Where's all the lightning mobs?

White Gold Tower, Tempest Island, Arx Corinium, Fungal Grotto 1
Where's all the 'magic' damage mobs?

Fungal Grotto 2, Imperial City Prison, Crypt of Hearts,
Where's all the disease based mobs?

Scalecaller Peak, Fang Lair, Bloodroot Forge, Selene's Web, Imperial City Prison, Lair of Maarselok
Where's all the physical based mobs?

Moongrave Fane, Depths of Malatar, Wayrest Sewers, Blessed Crucible, Banished Cells, Spindleclutch, Blackheart Haven.

By no means a comprehensive list, but fire isn't always the primary element in dungeons, it's just more visible.

As for the extra damage from fire, it's really a non issue, this is coming from a tank that stays in stage 4 permanently (yes even in vss, vdsa, vbrp)

Extra fire damage taken as a vamp is used as a cop-out too often. Yes it does hurt more, but not enough to be a true detriment if your healer is on point and your own defensive capabilities are up to par.

It's true. I don't remember seeing other elements as aoe hazards in dungeons. Like an icy mist that hurts when you walk through it. Or poison geysers. Seems to always be fire shooting out of enemies, walls or floors.

Go to Eastmarch. Lots of snow. And ice. And polar bears. And ice wraiths. And wisps. And wispmothers. And frost trolls. Basically every cold related bane of your existence lives there, and in the Rift, too.

While what others say is true about fire damage being more noticeable, the blithe, frequently seen advice that it doesn't hurt vampires enough/much usually comes from high CP players. The difference between Stage 4 fire damage on a CP160 vamp and a CP capped vamp with CP elemental and aoe mitigation allocated is night and day.

Forgot the main point, if playing vamp and lower CP, allocate those mitigation points first or keep a good stock of Aloe on hand.

Going to disagree, as a player who remembers the olden days of veteran ranks before CP's were a thing. This is also before the massive dungeon difficulty nerfs that were done to make them more accessible. If you are competent enough at playing defensively, and your healer also knows what they're doing, the extra fire damage a stage 4 vampire takes is negligible.
