Isn't Stadia a service instead of a Platform? I dunno much, I haven't been following since the gist I've already seen suggests it's going to be little more than a gimmick since gamers expect good latency and streaming a video game sounds like a terrible idea.
With what little I know of Stadia I can say that you don’t purchase ESO through them, you rent one of their machines and play ESO through their streaming service. So, same account if it’s a PC account you’re coming from.
The only issue I see with this is that if you wanted to play through a phone...there’s a controller you can/maybe have to use. So how is that controller meant to work with a PC version of ESO? But if it’s a different account, the issue I see with that is apparently you can get a low power PC and play as you would on any PC or laptop...so I’m not sure where the controller comes in.
Point is, as far as I know, it won’t be a different account - if you’re a PC player.

Yes.
Stadia is not a streaming service. It's just a console with different approach to hardware.

Ok but stadia is just a streaming service as far as i can tell .... you can use any pc and controller for your pc. The founders edition is just a chromecast and a bluetooth controller that includes 3 months free of stadia. There is literaly no console.
The only thing that makes sense for the requirement to buy the game again is if google is providing their own servers for the server side that ZOS currently provides. Anyone else have further insights on that?

You can't use any PC. You can only use the rigs at Google's data centers. They are the console. The only difference between say xBox and Stadia is that Stadia does not perform calculations on a "special box" in your house and sends the image to your monitor via HDMI but does it on a "special box" in their data center and sends the image via the internet.
From end-user experience Stadia is a closed ecosystem like PS or xBox. You will have to buy games specifically for Stadia and some games have already confirmed that they will have separate servers for Stadia.

Perfect. That's the information I needed, Medusa. So ESO is not a factor in whether I get Stadia or not. Thanks!

That basically settles it for me. I won't bother will Stadia. Already bought ESO for PC, then Xbox and number of other expansions on both platforms. Will not do it for another platform.
After all, shouldn't Alphabet be doing something to actually entice us to try out Stadia? With Microsoft Ultimate Game Pass, I really don't need another subscription fee for video games. Alphabet is not enticing me at all. May as well stick with what I have.
Will wait for others who do purchase ESO through Stadia and see how their experience is.
Google Stadia uses a fork of Linux as there OS. And every game that is in there store is made for Stadia. It will have his own UI etc. It looks like it will have his own Servers. But if ZoS want it they can crossplay with PC. If you want a netflix for games you can look at xcloud/gamepass(xbox/pc). Geforce now.(nvidia shield/pc). Vortex Gaming(mobile/PC).
Some streaming services will have some licients steam games. But not 100% supported.
Shadow is the only steaming service where you just rent a high end pc for 30/35 dollar a month. And will have win10 like your normal pc.
Stadia will have its own platform where you can connect to. With its own servers and store.
