How do I "Power Level"?

I'm at Level 24, have had 5 day early access. Play between 1-4 hours per day. I feel I'm levelling really slowly. I just do quests in PvE as these appear to give me the most XP.

If I go into PvP and fight a Veteran I will lose every time. How did some people get to VR3 so quickly?

    I'am VR2, I play about 6 hours a day as I own my own business so I can invest the time.

    I chose to take the route of exploration > quests > pvp, a lot of the quest can be completed really fast, remember you can get huge chunks of exp just from discovering a public dungeon + completing it which takes minutes in lower zones.

    Finding elite monsters (the skull and crossbones icon) give a lot of exp aswell + another nice chunk of exp for killing it.

    Just find places in the world that have lots of monsters and grind them. It's really fast if you have a good AoE build. I think some sorcerer powerleveled from 1-50 in 17 hours or something.
