I also know they are planning to improve performance in 2020, but by that time I believe many of us will be gone because it is simply too frustrating to pay for a game we can't enjoy because of technical issues.
So pay for a game and wait for a year until we can play it without having awful performance? Sounds very customer friendly.

I have a fairly okay setup and can run vr games and run all other games like overwatch on Ultra but on this game even on low settings there's a lot of lag and framerate drops as soon as you go to a big fight in Cyrodiil or a populated town. Sometimes (not always) in trials as well, it becomes like a slideshow when there's multiple aoes going off like in vCR+3 execute phase. This problem isn't unique to me, you can browse and find multiple Cyrodiil complaint threads and performance complaints
I believe I used to have those FPS before Elsweyr, but now it drops to like 2 or something, and normally I am at 15 even. I will contact support and see if there's a problems though I don't expect much tbh. Cheers!FurySevenSix wrote: »Just as an FYI the normal framerate for for ESO on consoles is 30 frames per second at 1080p. If your finding that its well below that, you might want to contact the support team for further help with this.

I really want somebody to read this. Me and every Xbox/PlayStation ESO player have been getting terrible frame rates in-game, and FPS drops like crazy. I know the game runs smoothly on PC, and I'd change to that platform if I could, but sadly I can't. I know they at ZOS probably don't care but I just wanted to voice the opinion of a lot of console players I see. Cheers for reading this.

We have not had stable 30FPS on console in years. For the past year or so it has been 20-25 FPS at best, and since Elsweyr, we’ve been dipping down to 5-10 FPS around wayshrines, with slideshow stuttering persisting for minutes after porting and often starting spontaneously when attacking basic mobs in deserted PVE areas. This is not an isolated issue limited to the OP’s console, and the support team will not be able to resolve the problem for the OP. These are problems affecting the majority of console players.

Remember consoles also have tech limitations vs pc. I my self play both, and you can see it with locked frame rate and clunky mechanics when it gets to be a lot of particles on screen at once. Zos has said they are focusing on performance this next few months so we will see.

Pay no attention to the weird stuff I keep doing or the random buttons I keep pushing. This was quite late in the evening (Maybe 10-11pst?), and there wasn't a soul in sight other than myself. This is one of the milder stutter spikes (almost nothing comparatively) we've all been experiencing in every part of the game on Xbox NA, from Cyrodil to vanilla overland, to dungeons and trials. It's always been bad, but something definitely broke with Elseweyr, and now it's gotten to be barely playable in all parts of the game, rather than just Cyrodil.
I left Cyrodil after nearly 3 years of solid PvP to escape the crippling lag monster, and now it's followed me into PvE. What gives Zos? This happens every patch. Stop adding things until you can make the things you have work properly. All it's doing is breaking it worse.

Even still, you've bought the game, you own it now. It's completely fine to take a break and come back later, a game like ESO, even with it's tumultuous forum community, is a financial success, has been around for years, and will continue to be here for some time. Your purchase won't be in vain if you choose to wait for the upcoming performance updates next year. You can even do little log ins from time to time to wet your toes in the meantime, do dailies, whack mobs.

Same here frame rate drops have been normal on console ever sense the game came out but now we're talking so bad you can't even play pve solo. I even upgraded to a xbox one x, my other games run great eso same lag performance problems. What's strange is my wife plays eso on an xbox one s and it runs fine, same internet same router. Something strange with that wouldn't you say ? Well i'm giving up on this game for now going to play wow classic until they fix it if they ever do.
