It's not time.
The base game has 1,800 storage slots, or 360,000 stacked items.
Additional Characters and Housing storage takes that to 4,160 storage slots, or 832,000 stacked items.
ESO+ is not required. Is the Craft Bag a convenience with subscription? Sure. But there is plenty of inventory space without it.

Why on earth would ZOS shoot themselves in the profits by devaluing the current Crafting Bag?

Nah 20 units per item is nothing, might as well not have it.
Also if you know how to manage your inventory, you dont need ESO+
Also use free ESO+ trials to fill up your crafting bag as much as you can.
Speaking from experience, havent subbed since 2 years now and still doing crafting writs and *** every day on 18 chars + 6 on my 2nd account.

Because they are above using inventory extortion to get people to sub? Or maybe because they finally decided that annoying people into subbing with constantly filling up inventory is not how you build good will with the consumers especially new players that don't want to deal with that nonsense but also don't want feel pressured into paying 15 dollars a month for a game they don't know if they want to keep playing? I have suggest this already. craftbag limited at 200 just to free up room is not going to stop people from subbing. It gives them an idea of how nice the craftbag is so they'll want to buy the limited one, but it would be great for new players.

I canceled my eso+ a while ago and the craftbag is the only reason i sometimes think about renewing my eso+
That is right until i run into something stupid and remember why i dont want to spend any money on eso at this time.

well then i guess you bough all the dlc with those crowns you got or you also lost access to all of that dlc.

there we have it.
Also it wouldnt effect people subbing. If you want unlimited mats in the craft bag you would still sub for eso +. But as an added bonus, let eso + subs get to put their crafting maps in there as well. with some stacking limits of course.
