It is competitively priced, not required to play the game and if you do not think it is a good value then do not pay for it.

I get an annual subscription- it’s cents per day.
The game definitely has its issues, but for a form of entertainment that’s almost always on, it’s pretty much impossible to beat.
I could pay more for a couple of new single player game and be totally done with them in under a week.
I find the additional storage, craft bag and increased house limit to be solid QOL improvements - plus I don’t have to buy DLC’s.
