Unable to Abandon Faction Locked Campaign after it ended

I had a EP character in the No Champion Point 30 day Bagkijdaan campaign. The campaign ended. My character was out of cyro when the campaign ended. I wanted to play the Non Cp campaign with my DC character. When I tried to abandon the Non CP campain with my EP character I would have to pay alliance points or gold. I was under the impression that you could abandon an faction locked campaign once it ended as long as the character was out of cyro when the new campaign started. This faction lock crap has caused more problem than what its worth. Whats even worse is ZOS does not even respond when it is reported. Bottom line if a campaign has ended and your character is not in cyro when the new campaign starts then the player should be able to abandon the campaign.

Issue was taken care of. In my case in order to switch factions, I needed to change the home campaign of all ep characters that had logged into the non cp campaign. So I moved them all to the 7 day. Once that was done I was able to enter the non cp campaign with another faction. You do not need to abandon the campaign just switch the home when a new campaign starts. Make sure however, no characters are in the faction locked campaign when it starts again. Confusing yes.

That's quite a hassle for those who have many toons. Seems like a *** system.
