vMA Drops ~ lol?

To start ill say this; I @#$%'n hate doing vMA, Its sloppy & Buggy as all get out~
But for the Event I I let my soul be drain a lot!
I lost count on the total runs, around 40 or so.
Double drops, 80 MA weapons~ 1 x Lightning staff & No Daggers
I have a silly amount of Resto, Ice tooth pick tho.
Srsly tho, wth is the drop rate in there for daggers or really any DW weapon?
But for the Event I I let my soul be drain a lot!
I lost count on the total runs, around 40 or so.

I made ~15 runs, my best drop was sword+mace for flurry
worst possible combo, but at least I may practice rotation with it and this is first DW and only DW drop in all runs I ever made... now I start to believe stories how people can't get inferno in 50+ runs... 0 -

✭Just the old RNG at it again. I've gotten quite a few Daggers so far. But when it comes to the style pages, I have gotten the Greatsword one like 20 times so far. It's ridiculous. They sell pretty easy, but I was hoping to learn them all from loot.0 -
aLi3nZ✭✭✭✭well I am a sorc and got light staff, inferno staff and restro staff. More then 1 of them. A few runs with double drop plus then gold maelstrom weapons in the mail for each run. So thats 3 lots of weapons per run. Anyway, malestrom staff was better when they added 189 spell damage, now I never use them. Sad master staff no longer adds 2k magika as well but still use that one for nice destro clench reduction + damage increase.0

You can go through zero souls gems by resurrecting at shrine. It puts you nearby. You ride swiftly inside after repairs at Tutor Reparius and jump back where you were."Get off my lawn!"2 -

This is always the way to go. You probably spend as much time in ghost form when using a soul gem as time spent riding back to portal if you use wayshrine.1 -

✭✭✭✭✭RNG is a strange thing. I hadn’t been in vma for over a year because after countless runs and at least a dozen leaderboard rewards I had never gotten a single bow or staff. Any staff. You need maelstrom shields or mauls I’m your guy. I’ve probably deconned at least 25 of each.
But I decided to give it a try during double drops this week. I got 4 bows and 4 lightning staves, and two ice staves (also a few shields, a few mauls and a greatsword). One DW set, dagger and mace.

phuein✭✭✭Their RNG system is broken. It's just entirely random, without limits to ensure reasonable results for players, to keep the game fun and reasonable.
It's far from being the only broken major system in the game. Looks like at least for the style pages you can just buy them for gold, from playing the game in other ways.Author of beloved and rejuvenated addons:

It is though. It is just rng. What you're showing is a case of numbers don't lie unless they do.
What doesn't happen is that your chances improve every run as if prior runs reductively contribute. You have exactly the same probability per run. Sometimes it's favorable, often times it isn't. You are wanting that one thing in a sea of things you don't want. It will always feel like the tide is against you... Because it is.
The only way to give yourself the illusion that you are beating rng is to have several characters that all need something from vma. Your success rate is higher the more of the sh!t you can actually make use of.Edited by mairwen85 on August 19, 2019 5:32PM0 -

The only way to give yourself the illusion that you are beating rng is to have several characters that all need something from vma. Your success rate is higher the more of the sh!t you can actually make use of.
That works only till the moment you have one weapon left to farm. Then you get 3x, 4x of those you already got and that one never does.

✭✭I wouldn't be surprised if the game skews drops on Magicka characters to stamina weapons and vice versa. I also think the game skews toward less popular weapons.
I got pretty lucky this week except I did not get a cruel flurry axe.
I ran my magicka Templar for the entire event and got 2 CF maces, 2 CF swords, 2 CF daggers, 1 bow, 2 lightning staves, 1 flame staff, 1 resto staff, a bunch of various 2 handed weapons and no 1h and shield.
Its almost like my magicka templar was skewed away from Magicka and Support weapons. Not that I minded since I was going for Cruel Flurry, but I thought it was interesting.Playing since beta...0 -

I got pretty lucky this week except I did not get a cruel flurry axe.
I ran my magicka Templar for the entire event and got 2 CF maces, 2 CF swords, 2 CF daggers, 1 bow, 2 lightning staves, 1 flame staff, 1 resto staff, a bunch of various 2 handed weapons and no 1h and shield.
Its almost like my magicka templar was skewed away from Magicka and Support weapons. Not that I minded since I was going for Cruel Flurry, but I thought it was interesting.
Isn't that just because there are only 5 staves and they are 2-handed? You could get 4 sta 1-h in one run, but only 2 staves max.0 -

Ran Mag sorc, magplar, mag nb, stam warden, stam necro, stam Dk. Drops are:
1. 1 x Dagger
2. 18 x Restro
3. 7 x 1h and shield
4. 5 x 2H Great Sword
5. 6 x Battle Axe
6. 4 x Maul
7. 6 x Inferno
8. 4 x Lighting
9. 8 x Axe
10. 15 x Mace
11. 6 x Bow
12. 12 x Sword
Restro and 1H maces simply rained on me!

1 DW Pair is considered 1 drop. From my understanding, Drop rate is *supposed* to be even for each set name, then you have a second "roll of the die" for what weapon(s) in that set you get, and another roll for trait.
The sample size of my runs is too small to make any real inferences. I was commenting more on how it felt for my runs this week.Playing since beta...0 -
