I'm serious, this is not a troll post or anything. Just merge the servers. It sucks so much not being able to play. I would rather play with 250 CONSTANT ping than supposedly 90 ping on EU servers. I created NA char and ping was stable and once you get used to it. Definitely better than current EU.

and to answer, disagree; because i prefer the 90 ping with occasional 250 spikes, instead of constant 250
Do you also prefer bad management on servers to that ping? Cuz 1 day a week server is down, laggy etc... Guild traders are not even working properly...0 -

@JamieAubrey I am pretty sure that 2 people from different servers can't have the same name already. I was never able to create any of my EU characters on NA with the same name and considering my choices, this is rather unexpected.This Bosmer was tortured to death. If you use accents etc it will work but there can't be 2 Vex Valentino's but you could have Vex VaIentino ( capital I used for the L )0 -

And then they merge the servers and one will be lost or both, which takes us back to my original comment0 -
Satanas✭✭✭In fact, I don't think this is the fault of the server. When you see sometimes the speed reaction of mobs, the server is not slow. It's maybe just an optimisation issue.
And when there are not much effects, the server respond is quick.

Database Constraints
It could happen, but it won't. The amount of time required outweighs the reward (ZoS standpoint, not clients). Names are just one example. Items will have a unique ID value in the database. The list goes on. These problems can be addressed and, with logic in place, potentially fixed, but the amount of time/testing required would be too much.0 -

Better option would be to lay on 2 European servers one for northern Europe and one for southern Europe.
I suspect the problem is the land mass area the European server covers is much larger than that of the US server. In addition to which more people play ESO on pc than in America where there is greater console use0 -

You can always get round a duplicate (and therefore disallowed) single-word name by adding a second name.0 -

Same here, I have a bosmer called Sayel on both PC EU and PC NA. Same name, same spelling, no accents or special tricks.
But if someone else has the name you won't be able to get it, and some seemingly surprising names are taken. Like my first choice for my necromancer, which surprised me because there's a fairly convoluted thought process behind it but apparently someone else managed to come to the same conclusion.PC EU player | She/her/hers | PAWS (Positively Against Wrip-off Stuff) - Say No to Crown Crates!
