Agree that stam characters are going to have a hell of a time with this. The purge they have access to costs a ton and removes 2 negative effects. Well on my stam dot build I apply 7 negative effects in 1 second (8 if i reduce my burst damage by a lot and slot a different skill set), so even if 2 are purged I'm still good because I know they most likely are out of magika to purge the rest, or they have to pop a tri-stat potion to restore. Guess what, I reapply those dots once or twice more, and watch them burn. When you apply the dots, then jump in with burst, most people forget to purge anyway.
I think NB's will be fine as we can cloak the dots (they show as a miss and are not a dodge when we cloak). Even on my stamblade I can cloak 5-6 times before I need a tri-stat pot, plenty of time to reposition while waiting for some dots to drop off me. I will just have to pay attention to what dots are on me.
My expectation is that we see more mag builds in PVP again along with more dot build NB's.
Simple as that. Direct damage was overperforming, now it's on par with DoTs. Bursting people down within 2 seconds was nerfed because you cannot react to that, and that does not require skill.

Tell me, where is the skill in loading up on a pile of fire-and-forget skills and how it somehow requires the same amount of skill as lining up your burst? Something tells me you're just a zergling who got 1vX'd too many times by people who could actually line up their burst damage.
I keep seeing this word "skill" how can you gauge skill in an RNG based combat system ?
ZOS is not going to completely change the whole games functionality to please new mmo players coming from different games and vet players that might be legitimate crazy people. That obviously still haven't gotten the picture after 4 - 5+ years. I've played "day 1" and over 13k hours, I also had this mind set of what players say today. Once you see through the BS of where this game has gone. You kinda accept it for what it is.
A broken game - so enjoy it or not !
This is not an Esport therefore it should be treated as such. Enjoy each meta and adapt - as ZOS implements business marketing practices to sale each DLC. Personally I feel the performance of the game is more important.
And if anything - ZoS would need to implement more counter balance such as stam sets or a stam ability to remove negative effects. Instead of bandaid tweaks to abilites, but on a business perspective you can see what they do.
It's not rocket science to understand why the game combat system is the way it is.
Plus it's all balanced around PvE test dummie parses anyways. I sad way for the combat team to gauge the way PvP ends up vs risk reward.
