So what happened to the Q&A?

ESO live was scrapped in favor of the Q&A. Another ESO Live happens, before the Q’s are even A’d. Was it just scrapped completely?

Don't see an update to Gina's thread about doing the Q&A. I bet they're "aware of and working on it" currently. Maybe they'll release some answers as the fixes to group finder, server and performance problems comes out

    They always do this.
Same with all the “Feedback xxxx’ss” threads, oh and also the whole PTS thing.
Not much ever is followed up on.

I love ESO but really grown to dislike the company behind it :(.

The way they treath customers is almost insulting, making useless massive changes to everything and give ETA of performance fixes for 2020.
English is not my native language, no grammar police please, tyvm

There were some tough questions asked.. so it will take some long time & editing to come up with answers that do not just end up as total memes that circle on the forum for years.

So in the end, expect plenty of "We are aware of the issue some players are having with this and are looking to make possible adjustments in future." :p

On a serious note, hoping we get the answers soon. :) (yes, i have popcorns and all ready)

No question is tough if you know the answer. What can take some time is trying to frame the answer in such a way that doesn't make things worse.

It can be hard to dare face the crowd that is us players. There's lots and lots of criticism, quite viable as well, but that means also lots of negativity towards the people behind the game.

It's just not that simple however. Though I don't know the exact structure of such organizations, imagine there's the "big suits" - financial department and managers, who calculate all the incomes and expenses, and more than likely ESO being just one of many other franchises they're holding their rights to. They're forwarding their instructions down the line, what to do with game(s) so it meets their vision of positive financial statement.
Then there's the lower tier, all the promoters, publishers, ad makers and what not. Just rough estimate. Those who receive the instructions from above, and send those down the line to people actually being in working touch with the game - graphics, coding etc.
And then there's the developers, who're usually the ones being fully involved with working on the game. Also probably the forum management is in that area as well. They're doing what they're told from the people above, who pay for all this to be staying afloat. And they're the ones who'd have to face all the critical questions from the players, which they maybe even can sympathize with - but they've got to do what they're told AND they've got to face that players are unhappy about what's happening with the game. Often players who are going rage mode and accusing & blaming, instead of actually trying to communicate.

So I kinda can understand if they choose to remain silent and mostly stay out of any answers, because for that bottom tier it would be quite tough to give any satisfying answers.
Think on that for a minute.

Life is a ride, like days in a train, cities rush by, like ghosts in the night.

Questions like these need to be asked during the work week, not on the weekend.

I'm leaning towards this explanation right now.

Sure, there's always going to be bureaucratic CYA and technical answers to be simplified, and PR consultants to doctor answers to make the company look good...

But the obvious answer is that this thread asked on a Saturday in NA, its now Sunday, and expecting official answers to non-emergency situations on a weekend is just silly. Nor have we exceeded Gina Bruno's statement of "next week or so".

(Its like people asking for the Crown Store Showcase on a weekend. Inevitably, they have to wait for the weekdays.)

The Q&A is delayed simply so they can filter out the simple questions they don’t want/can’t be bothered to answer

Like the ones who claim to lurk about but only ever appear to abuse moderator powers to silence people who question where they are and why they never bother to answer simple questions here on the forums? Those forum focused employees? They were here a couple months ago in the housing sub-forum, since then a few times I n the general discussion section... since then they’re just lurking waiting for the next lot of topics of easy questions to abuse their powers on to avoid answering said easy questions

That's literally their job to deal with the players and to communicate with us. They get paid to do that, and they were the ones that volunteered to go do a Q&A because they didn't make it to their stream. They signed up for their job, they decided to announce they were going to do something by x time and then nothing. Similar to them announcing they were going to do performance fixes and such a long time ago, but here we go let's wait for 2020.

    (Apologies for cross-pollinating topics.)

On Sunday, they broke PCEU's entire trading system and erroneously released billions of gold into the economy. It's still broken, but haven't communicated in over 24 hours despite the community begging for information.

    Silence can be insulting, too.
