Sprinting classes are HILARIOUSLY fun

This Wrothgar event I’m running around grabbing every node I can, and I’m doing it in Sprinting Speed gear. It is the most HILARIOUS thing ever.
You got some CP810 on a fully upgraded horse and you run past him and he’s just like, “Um excuse me...what the Akatosh?”
You run so fast the speed is faster than your ping XD

I have a stamsorc orc built specifically for speed that I use for farming and surveys. I very rarely mount on her and easily sprint past mounted players lol

Currently she has Fiord's (5 x armour), Coward's (jewellery and weapons) and Sellestrix monster set.

I don't wanna disappoint you but buffed horse sprint is notably faster then "foot" speed cap. Also you need only few buffs to hit speed cap at medium armor even without sprint sets...

Yes, with the Major Gallop buff (from Rapid Maneuver - Alliance War skill line) the maximum possible horse speed is definitely higher than maximum on-foot speed cap.

On PC there's no reason not to use that skill all the time when riding, there are addons which temporarily put the skill on your active bar while riding.
Now, on console, that's a whole different story...

The point of sprint builds, for farming anyway, is that you don't have to waste time mounting and dismounting, straight to the node, farm and on to the next.

Technically a single swift jewel and windrunner passive is enough to push any stamina medium build with at least 5 medium to max speed as long as you have a source Major Expedition.

A fully upgraded horse using rapid maneuver is MUCH faster than the fastest running speed, so I dont see that happening. His/her horse cant have been fully upgraded. If you have almost not upgraded the horse, like no more than 5% then yes, I think max run speed is a little bit faster than the 5% horse + rapid.

The advantage of the speedrun is that you dont have to mount/dismount, and that is a great advantage for farming. Though if you do use a mount you can make a jump and then dismount in air and fly with the mount speed the rest of the way. Time it correctly and you can land right on top of the node and immediately harvest it. That is actually pretty fun to do.

For distance yes. For farming the time lost in mounting and dismounting means you will lose that node to someone on foot in a speed build almost every time.

You can also do it without major expedition using 3 jews with swift, steed mundus, 7 medium and orc race. This will allow you to equip 3 full powerful gear sets (5-5-2) while still getting fastest run speed. But of course, then you are locked to orc.

I’ve never been more jealous of PC as I am now.
