can't get the event tickets today

i didn't have much free time today to play, so i just logged in to pick the event tickets from the dailies. as i was doing it in rush i didn't notice that i had already 12 tickets stored and i didn't receive the tickets when i delivered the daily quest.
i went to the Impresario and spent 10 tickets then i did the another daily on wrothgar but, even with the free space, i didn't get any ticket. i decided to log out and log in, but again, after the daily i didn't get anything. i finally decided to try a few other another characters, but nothing seems to solve it.
i'm pretty sure that i didn't get the event tickets today because the last time i logged in was more than 24 hours ago... so... what am i doing wrong?![:\](https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/resources/emoji/confused.png ":\")

✭✭✭✭✭If you earn event tickets while you have 12 tickets already, you lose your tickets and are unable to earn them. It always counts it as your first daily done, not the first daily done when you had the space for new tickets.6 -

✭✭✭✭I am sorry to say that today's tickets are lost. Since you already had 12 tickets, the tickets you earned today went to the 'ticket graveyard', never to be seen again. All you can do is live and learn...........when you have 12 tickets, spend them before earning more.PC/NA/EP ✌️2 -

You were maxed on tickets and turned in a daily for more tickets. The game tried to give you those tickets but you were already full. The game doesn't care if you actually received the tickets or not, it just knows that it already gave the tickets to you. You lost those tickets. Gotta pay attention and spend them before hitting cap.0 -

anyway, i read many times the advertisement and it only says:
"The Orsinium Celebration Event also provides you with an opportunity to earn Event Tickets. During the event, you can earn Event Tickets for the following activities: Two Event Tickets per day for completing any Wrothgar Delve Daily OR Two Event Tickets per day for completing any Wrothgar World Boss Daily. Note that you can earn only two tickets per day, meaning how you earn both tickets is up to you! You can earn up to 24 total tickets during this event."
the first time i did a Wrothgar World Boss Daily i had no space for tickets. then the first time i did a Wrothgar Delve Daily i had space and i didn't get anything. then the first time i did any of those with any character i didn't get anything. as i said, it seems like a bug or a developer being a jerk.0 -

It's been a function of the ticket system since it was introduced last year. It works the same when collecting transmute stones near the allowed limit.4 -

Its a developer choice designed to make players either grind future events to make up for lost tickets or (now) to encourage players to buy event tickets to make up for the loss. The cap at 12 is likewise designed so that players have to use them or lose them, requiring them to keep grinding different events instead of stocking up on tickets during an event they like and spending on a later one they don't
Sometimes the lack of user friendliness is a feature, not a bug. Now that event tickets are in the crown store, its a prime example of "Make a problem, then sell the solution."

i understand the cap, i've been aware of it and i never had any problem with it. the problem is not the cap, because i spent 10 tickets right after i noticed that if was full. the problem, as always, is the false advertisement and lack of information that kills the joy of playing. this is cheating, not playing. it's not a challenge, it's a stupidity.

Getting and earning are two completely different things. You earned the tickets. But you were at the cap so you won't be getting them, they are essentially gone. But since you earned them already, you cannot earn them again.
And it isn't really lack of information when this has been a thing for over a year with multiple forum posts dedicated to it.2 -

OP is at the cap but forgets to use tickets before running a Wrothgar world boss.
OP does not receive tickets for completing said world boss ... due to being at the cap.

Wouldn't it be a better advice to use 10 tickets to use up before you reach the limit of 12 tickets? That way you should still be able to collect 2 tickets (when you are at 10) and reset counter to 2 tickets without loosing any tickets as you can when you are at 12 tickets.
There is an add on for that where made for CWC event, but it still work for this event. It will give a visual clue that your started a countdown on you days ticket (time doesn't need to be exact, just that you can track that you have received ticket).

LUI Extended chat module does also track/log in chat, so you can see that you have got 2 tickets with other reward. Set it to show time stamp and you should be able to see time when you have got those. LUI Extended have several features, but you can turn these off if you don't want them to run and only use chat log feature.

You can't compare Transmute containers with events tickets as when try to open and don't have space, it will warn you. Event ticket on the other hand is designed that you need to keep track on how many you have. The reason for this is most likely to get people to buy tickets from Crown Store.
OP in worse case you have at least that option. 250 Crowns for one ticket. In anyway there are tools that you can use to keep track for free and you only need to watch out for next event. There are still 4-5 day left of this event. (Hey, you can use event tickets to see how long time it is left of event by how long time they are for sale!)

✭✭✭✭✭Crystal geodes are locked when you’re at cap, but if you get transmute crystals as part of a non-geode container, say the anniversary jubilee box, then they will disappear exactly like this if you loot them without noticing you’re at cap. Future events will also contain crystals in their coffers. It’s a good idea to keep an eye on capped currency in general.1 -

No one's saying it's a good system or that you shouldn't have those tickets, they're just explaining how it works and why you don't have them. We're all players like you, none of us have any control over this system so telling us how you think it should work will achieve absolutely nothing except to keep going round in circles.
