Exactly what the skill lines is referring to in the scalebreaker dlc patch notes cause and why i'm getting a bad feeling that it's gonna ruin things.

It's Undaunted, Fighters, Mages, Thieves, Dark Brotherhood guild skill lines. If one has them completed on one character, they can be purchased for your other characters with crowns. One character at a time - it's not for the whole account.

The skill lines listed in Scalebreaker are now available for purchase in the Crown Store IF you have already unlocked them on another character.

Its an expensive way for players to skip the guild grind and get right to end game PVE and PVP. Same as the skyshard packs, essentially.

The only time you'll see this as a real problem is in very low level PVP.

If they make alot of money with it, it will be problematic.
Less creativity for new content and more for ... "how to make money with comfort zone QOL stuff.... for real $$.

Would have been better to add such stuff to eso+. As QoL improvements. But then, that would not be greedy

Many players have lobbied to buy skill lines for Alts for months or probably years.

ZoS responded to all the 'throws wallet at ZoS' promises, so we we are. A future made by your fellow players.

Unlikely. Being as how players have actually had the experience necessary to gain the skill lines in the first place, its not going to have a terrible impact on PVE or higher level PVP.

Again, the only problem is low level PVP, and that's a relatively small portion of the game.

It depends on what you mean by "maxing out", but even with those skill lines that you can buy you need to collect skill points gain XP in Rank (as to get the most out of each skill). Skill line will have full Rank as in that you can access both morphs, but will not be at max (aka unranked) meaning your damage will be base damage as example that will first be at max after you have gained XP to Rank IV.

You can see description in Alcast video for how this will work.

By "maxing out" i mean i'm only level 2 with undaunted and between 1 and 5 with the others with probably 5 skill points shared between all of them and i'll check the video out in the morning.

Yeah, I can't really see the point of keeping below level 50 PVP going. Any new players trying PVP out will be even more severely punished by experienced players with loads of cash.

Especially when you can buy the skyshards and their potentially 100+ skill points to use the skills.

Remember, even if you unlock the skill lines, you still need to invest the skill points. On a low level character, that means buying the skyshard packs. This will be quite expensive for those who do not want to spend the time. I can't see all that many peeps doing this. Especially on the throw away 1 to 50 PVP Alts people make.

And you still have to go out and get Class Skills, Weapon Skills and Armor Skills. This is far from rolling an instant character. Just let's you skip the Guilds.

EDIT Thought the World line was going to be one of these, its not.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

Yes ,and low level PvP is already very unbalanced since you have an mix of new players, alts who is just zerging to get skill line and good pvp players in good crafted gear.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.
