What is actually the point of Flawless Dawnbreaker anymore?

They took away the 5% passive weapon damage which was pretty much the only reason you would even consider this Morph instead of DBoS. Even for PVE it seems like DBoS is the obvious choice of Morph now?

But Ballista deals way more Damage and DBoS is a lot more bursty and comes with a stun. Seems like they missed the mark with this one in my opinion. They changed a skill which didn't need changed.7 -

✭✭✭My guess is they wanted to bring it in line with Shooting Star, which is just +3% max magicka with no additional modifiers, right?
For PvE, both ultis are kind of in the "well I don't have anything better to put here so +3% is better than nothing" category.
On a Necro, double-bar Colossus. On a Nightblade, double-bar Death Stroke.0 -
JimmyJuJu✭✭✭✭Dawnbreaker is pretty much for stamplars and stamsorcs that have no upfront burst. Those classes already get passive weapon damage so it's kind of like double-dipping there.

Abhaya✭✭✭✭It will just be a net loss for stam pve dd. They will still use ballista or their ULT of choice on the back bar and slot DB on front bar for the weapon damage. Flawless was already useless in PVP and now its pretty useless in both PVP and PVE it's baffling.1 -

It's pretty much crap honestly.
The 5% was mediocre but usable because it made all your weapon skills passively do more damage while the main usable ult was on the off bar.
This change forces you to use the bad ult. Lol0 -
shezof✭✭✭i use it in PVP to buff my weapon damage as stamplar,you cant cancel DB anymore so it’s just a dot&buff ult to me rather then being a burst ult.LA+smiting is still good but i found out that buff from flawless works better for me.0 -
