Multicrafting is one thing ZOS definitely got right this patch

Seriously, it's been wonderful. No more standing at the alchemy station hitting "craft" repeatedly to get those 200 tri-pots. Refining mats no longer feels like a chore. All around, this is one change that came with this patch that has been pretty much perfect.

Not gonna lie...refining multiple stacks of hundreds of mats with a single button press was one of the most satisfying feelings I've ever had in this game.

One way more serious issue is that the counter does not reset even if moving to another crafting station.

So if you craft 200 food then doing an enchanting master writ making an useless gold glyph for quest it will fill up your inventory with them unless you change counter back.

Yes this is easy to fix having counter reset on exiting crafting station.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

I havent personally come across that issue. I've refined a few material stacks around 5k and several times I've gotten almost up to 30 legendary/gold improvement materials out of them, along with the other things that result from refining.

i for one am appreciative of @SirAndy and others to point this out to everyone.

(A GM was also was kind enough to let us know about this issue in guild chat yesterday, after someone else had crafted dozens of rare furniture items by accident.)

There don't appear to be any actual bugs with it. Everyone else has been getting normal drop rates from refining with the multicraft feature. So that player either wasn't actually paying attention, or had a streak of bad rng and blamed it on the wrong thing.

Apparently, the Refine feature is the only one that you have used at a crafting station. Also, I doubt that you have Refined any stacks of Platinum Dust at a Jewelry crafting station. In my experience, there are plenty of problems with the current implementation of multi-crafting. Just use it for a while longer and pay close attention to the output that is produced. .....

By the way, I've been playing TESO for almost 5 years, and I have developed four characters, each of which crafts items with each one of the seven crafts. So I have plenty of experience before the introduction of multi-crafting, and the experience which I have had with multi-crafting thus far has been less than pleasant.

Nope, done plenty of stuff with the crafting stations since the new patch. Has been nothing but good, no negatives whatsoever. I also have a ton of experience in this area, like you do, I know exactly what I'm talking about. My multicrafting experience has been 100% positive.

    @SirAndy

I would be curious to know, as was mentioned in the main thread in the crafting subforum, is that as you gain additional tempers, trait stones, style stones, etc from refining, it pushes the list of items down the right-hand side of the page until eventually it will make certain items disappear from the displayed area (at least it does on console). When this happens I usually just stop refining long enough for the list to disappear from my screen then start again.

With auto-refine happening instantly, if a gold temper was awarded as one of the first 1-3 items, it's totally possible the readout for that item got pushed off the page and just wasn't visible. The only way to check this at this point would be to check your craft bag for all possible refine rewards, then check it afterwards to see if this is potentially the case.

Now if someone has proof that they actually ended with the same number of tempers as they started with after refining 5k+ raw mats, then it's not this, but it was just a thought that visually the tempers weren't awarded, when in actuality they were just pushed off the visible range of the UI.

But why did it have to take them 5 years for this simple change? FIVE friggin years... and then they didnt even get it right btw. Then amount defaults each time to max and doesnt remember then amount you set it to; this is a major oversight, hopefully this is fixed asap.

In those threads where the posters have mentioned their dataset it has been like 700 dust or other such ridiculously low amount. It's entirely coincidental that they get few drops when you try so few times. Increase data set to 10000, at least, to be sure to see that actual drop rate in your outcome.

There is a big difference between the two

Multicraft simply automated the process so you could "set it and leave it", allowing you not to have to click refine a thousand times. It didn't save you any time, just your sanity

"Multicraft" now... is instantaneous, meaning the 1,000 refines happen in the time it previously took 1 refine.

There's a MASSIVE difference between those two things on the backend.
