Buying 4th feather when you already have Nascent Indrik?

I already asked this question in another thread, but I figure it will have a better chance of being seen if it's in its own thread with an appropriate subject line.

Before the feathers were turned into fragments in our Collections, you could have a Nascent Indrik plus all four feathers needed to create another Nascent Indrik-- you just didn't "use" any of the four feathers to create another Nascent Indrik until after you had a chance to evolve your existing Nascent Indrik.

Now that the feathers are automatically added to our Collections as fragments, what will happen if we buy all four feathers but we already have a Nascent Indrik that we haven't had a chance to evolve yet because all four berries haven't been released yet?

This is going to happen to me during the third Q3 event-- I'll already have a Nascent Indrik plus three feathers going into the next event, and during that event I'll buy the third berry plus the fourth feather. What will happen when I buy that fourth feather?
I've fought mudcrabs more fearsome than me!

I expect that the four feathers would just stay in the collections menu as fragments until you actually evolve that nascent, but don't know for sure.

I think the 4th feather just goes into your 'Fragments' collection. You just can't buy any more if your fragments are full.

I have 4 feather 'fragments' and a fifth in one of my inventories from the beginning of the event.
