Seriously I want the ZOS team to weigh in here and give us a damn good reason why you nerfed this skill?
It is literally one of the CORE critical skills for MagSorcs for healing during combat. Not to mention you already nerfed our shields.

This is INEXCUSEABLE. Prove to us why you nerfed this skill and what skill we should use in place of this and drop in our 5 *** limited skill bar and not drop our current DPS which you ALSO *** nerfed before?

I swear. At this rate who the *** would play this nerfmire game?

    Yup. Lightning mage will have a much harder time of it between this, AoEs being gutted, and shields becoming even more useless. But him no longer having a reliable self heal unless I switch to the wrong morph is just all kinds of stupid. I don’t know why I even hoped they were going to do something that made sense and put major sorcery on the base skill and both morphs..l

    Just use Structured Entropy instead. Basically the old Power Surge + a strong DoT.

    "Just use a generic mages guild skill instead of your class defining skill bc thats how zos wants you to play now" I hear all these ppl praising the nerf bc they are happy that PETsorcs got nerfed. Ive never been a petsorc never want to, i refuse to, literally hate the pets in this game. I have mained a regular ol magic sorc for 5 years. I have rolled with every single nerf they have ever made to sorcs and not complained. I get it, things change, hell they change EVERY DAMN PATCH. But this bulshit nerf to power surge is beyond dumb.

    "L2P" ... L2Notbeafreakinjerk I dont take joy in others suffering or take joy in others lack of fun in a game, no matter the class i don't have some weird rivalry with classes that seems to be prevalent in this game.

    Power surge was a sorcs main heal. Conversion is awkward and can be interrupted. Not every sorc wants to be an offbrand healer OR a PETsorc - making it heal off crit heals that a sorc doesn't even have is asinine. Again, IDC about entropy. Stop telling us to use it. This is gripe about something we lost time, ok. GAWD.

    Surge used to epic.
    Slowly but surely over the years it's become so nerfed it's now pretty much useless.
    Even entropy is better.

    And this comes on top of a very long list of other nerfs to the Sorc.

    The proper change would have been to not touch how Power Surge heals (triggers on crit damage up to once a second and heals for x), simply allow the heals to also help allies within, say 10 or 12 m of the sorc. That would be a good morph for both dps and healer magsorcs, leaving the other morph for stam users.

    Alternatively, keep the new and nerfed Power Surge and simply add Major Sorcery to Crit Surge to have a clear choice for mag/stam dps and another for healers.

    The current situation has a huge impact on pet sorcs given how tight their bar spaces is. From one slot for Power Surge to two slots for Crit Surge + Structured Entropy. If pet sorcs wanted to play a petless mage, they probably would have rolled a magblade instead of a magsorc.

    My question is what makes you think that by demanding they explain themselves ZOS will in some way reply? I mean, historically, you should know that Zenimax and community communication go together about as well as career politicians and reality.. It just aint gonna happen. They dont give a poopie as long as they keep shareholders happy. Game quality, customer service.....HAH! They laugh at your silly demands. The sad part? I used to be one of their most vocal defenders.

    The sadder part? They're actually one of the best options around for MMO's atm.

    exactly this.........the "nerf" is not the issue that fact we lost the crit damage proc IS, it not only affects pet sorcs but ALL mag sorcs

    Gonna give it some time before I make up my mind for sure, but it's quite possible I'm about to take my second extended vacation from the game (and paying ZOS) over his appalling decision.

    Not once have I EVER complained about a nerf- but this... this is $&**ing TRAGIC.

    ZOS shifted major Sorcery to Entropy so they can sell the skill line and THAT is what really gets my goat.

    This deliberate manipulation and changing the rules to milk players for new avenues of money.

    Sorc has pretty much been nerfed into the dirt by now, but the Sorc QQers are probably still gonna gun to nerf it more.

    Well, I did the prescribed solution - remorph to Crit Surge and add Structured Entropy. Of course, no pets now due to lack of bar space but it does work and she is quite playable. Sort of like a slightly gimped magblade now. LOL.

    Entropy has always had major sorcery. Remember using it on my magplar util I got fed up trying getting decent dps and made her an dedicated healer, rotation was messy.

    But yes moving us over onto guild skills has that effect to.

    aaaaand on this note I am quitting ESO for now and probably permanently.
    I really used to enjoy running my 3 magsorcs with high crit builds and self healing......

    Now we are turning magsorcs into healers - thanks a lot dev team - great job!!!
    And like others said, NO i dont want to use SE for healing which is a non mag ability anyway.

    And it's now on PS4, and I'm gutted there's no more heal for critical damage with 'Power Surge'. Stupid decision.
    No fun anymore. 150GB more HD space after uninstallation? :'(
