Hi all I think I have a cool housing addition idea.
So I've been thinking... Housing is a cool addition, but your house is only usable to those you invite or guildies/friends.
What if where the house is physically for previewing (the door) it opened up a portal menu where people register their house and you can join? Like sometimes they can host parties or something and the portal is a "featured" for the day or time.
I was also thinking it doesn't even have to be that house location, for example the Riften inn always has RP and theres a house outside thats a duplicate of that inn, maybe we can make an "Inn RP" portal outside and people can look and port to other inns.(I just used RP as an example)
Basically, I think this could open up so many more possibilities for housing. Like your place could still be private, you'd have to list it.
What do you all think?
tldr; Making portals in specific areas, or at preview housing areas which showcase other players houses (that they registered on the list) so others can teleport in/view. Also allow "Feature of the day" for events, or host special public events.
edit, I know EHT community hub has this, but why does it need to be an addon?

I just don't think, using the type of system mechanics that this game does, that it would be very easy for people to show off their houses. You can do it in a game like Archeage because the house is not funneled into a separate Instance. The housing becomes part of the land as a whole. You can just walk around different housing zones and see what people have made.
ON the other hand, that is a horrendously difficult system for a company to wield. There is a finite amount of land area that you would have for housing, and you have to figure out how to be fair with All the players who want housing. The ESO present system allows every player to have multiple houses if they want, no problem. But, the downside is that its just not simple to 'show off' your home, like some of us would like.
IMHO, I don't see a good answer
