This, and the perpetual server lag that plagues this game, this is my personal issue with this game, and the team behind it. ZOS is all bark, no bite, and they've proven it time and again, and will so long as we keep paying their monthly fee. I can only speak for my wallet, I'm not going to sit here and tell you why you shouldn't spend your hard earned money on whatever you want.

But seriously?

What do you get out of this? Nothing. Not a single thing.

People want instant satisfacfion these days. Why work for stuff when you can buy it? Goes for the crownstore skilllines and goes for cheating.

a lot of people cheat because they're no longer having fun with the game. they don't really care if they get banned, they just want to squeeze what life they can out of the experience by breaking it before quitting/being banned for good. sometimes it's to make a point to zos that they need to improve their anti-cheat etc.

fair play to them on some level, can see where they're coming from.

This boils down the the difference I was talking about above, if ALL you care about is winning, then these things of course are going to be searched for, yearned for. IF you see someone take 0 damage from 5-6 players, you don't say well thats broken, you whisper them and say "teach me senpei I need to know the secrets".

Me I don't want to win with an advantage, I want to win because I made better choices in set up or I have better reaction time or use of line of sight or whatever the case may be.

This is why the tryhards usually murk me and then teabag because they feel some kind of way about winning I guess.

Let’s be honest though. This chaosball bug Happens one out of maybe 50 matches. It’s just random.

My question for you is how do you know the people beating you are using those other bugs? I read your post and all I see is a very politely worded version of “everyone who beats me must be a cheater”

I don't and I'm not suggesting they do. The massive majority of players who beat me are simply better than me. I'm not a pvp pro, never claimed to be and honestly I don't think its even in me to be so.

I like the game I play my best, but I just don't have the competitive streak in me to do something I don't really like in order to win.

For instance I hate stealth gameplay in this game, abhor it. I would never roll a stamblade even though I'm sure I could delete people.

The end's don't justify me not actually having fun while doing it is all I'm saying.

All that being said there are times where you just have to say, what the hell did I just witness? Check the recap and chalk it up to lag, then you fight the same person or squad and its the same thing every time.

Do I know every system in this game and how they overlap and create unintended consequence? Of course I don't, but I am experienced enough in systems design as well as this game to know when the math just doesn't add up.

Cheat Engine can, and does, get used extensively for singleplayer games; Cheat Engine is not bad just because it is Cheat Engine, it's the use that can be bad. Using it to modify online games is obviously bad.

Much like a computer can be used to peacefully play games without doing any malice. But it can also be used to hack and steal peoples accounts, passwords etc. The computer is not bad in and of itself, it's the use that can be bad.

That’s a pretty common bug, not a hack or a cheat or an exploit.

This post is a great example of why so many people don’t believe cheat engine exists... every time someone posts “proof,” the experienced players who actually know the game mechanics know that it isn’t... and it undermines the posts of those who legitimately see cheating. (Which I’ve never seen in over 280 days /played in the last two years)

You weren't (probably) around for the bans.

We've "talked" and while I'm on the side of not trusting people (at all) and you aren't... I can assure you that cheat engine *was* abused heavily for quite a long time. Thing is, post ban waves or "warn waves" (many people were temp banned or warned to remove CE from their system and allowed to return)... well, what happened was that people came to an understanding that using CE or it's variant(s) in ESO could be identified and that bans were likely (particularly if previously warned). So people discovered how far they can go with it without being detected. It's not nearly as big of a problem as it once was... but that doesn't make it non-existant or a non-issue. Furthermore, some changes were made on ZOS' end to what could be manipulated client side to prevent the impact of CE (ultimates being the prime change).

There was a point in game where a notorious CE user was *nearly* impossible to deal with 1v1 or even a small number vs 1. With the changes it's a much smaller advantage and you didn't see it impact things the way it used to. There is no reason the cabal of exploitation has stopped using it though... Cheaters gonna cheat. They just use it so it doesn't flag their actions now (which isn't enough to overcome a lot of fights on it's own).

The primary problem with Cheat Engine wasn't scrubs that used it to win. It was good players using it... Very active and skilled players using it to make them nearly unkillable.

Then there was an issue with players that ran something that created lag. Which wasn't cheat engine... There were certain players running something that forced you to have to seek them out and kill them in a keep battle (all while they hid behind their guild)). Once you realize who it was (a lot of times their own faction would betray them) and killed them the lag would stop instantly. Point being that ESO has long had a cheating problem... no reason to believe it has ended.

This isn't a chest, it's a known exploit for battlegrounds. They said they already patched this from when people were doing it in Chaosball? It's been reported on the forums by others and I've personally reported BGs stuff like this and the other one where they can boop you off the map and you're stuck there forever out of bounds outside BGs arena and can't fight.

Nope, its an exploit. As its a bug folks as using to gain score from.
If they were legit they would drop down. They are exploiting a bug.

But ZOS do nowt about cheats, on console anyway. They all still float about in game doing what they want.

Exploits are intentional.

This bug is not something you can intentionally activate. It requires significant server lag and has more to do with your opponents actions than the actions of the player who benefits from it.

But yeah let’s just call everyone who does while picking up the ball during a server hiccup an exploiter lol.

At the point the team realizes they have the ball in their spawn point and choose to stay there with it so they can win the match it becomes intentional, hence they are deliberately choosing to exploit the bug and cheat to win the match.

"*** THIS, LET ME OPEN UP MY CHEAT ENGINE/PROGRAM HERE REAL QUICK"

YOU GOT CROWDS OF PEOPLE HARVESTING MATERIALS WITH THEIR BOTS.

Edit: I have over 148% Damage Resistence Procs. I meant I have a natural resistence of 35k. Obviously not including buffs that increase that, and mind you with so much HP my Shields are still powerful as hell.

Did you read what he wrote?

He’s been playing the game for less than half a year.

He “wins” duels by using a stalemate build and hoping his opponent values their time more than he values his.

And because of this “vast amount of dueling experience”, he feels confident in saying that everyone who beats him is a “cheater.”

Oh and the caps lock.

Those arguments are a meme inside of a meme inside of a meme. Definitely a troll.

If you fought someone with 80k hp and max resists who just held block and did no damage to you, you’d eventually get bored. You’d then leave the fight to look for another target that isn’t a waste of time.

What that post is saying is that he is a legendary dueler because his opponents get bored and leave. That justification is then used as proof that the people who actually do kill him must be cheating.

He isn’t even max CP according to the post.

You and I don’t always agree, but surely you can see that the post is an edgy PvPer pretending to be a beginner stalemate tank who complains about cheating every time he dies. No way that’s a real player. It just fits the memes too perfectly.

When I was a kid I remember being so excited when I got the game genie for Nintendo. I ended up hating the thing weeks later cuz it literally destroyed all fun from being had in any game after the first hr of playtime lol since then I've refrained from any cheats in any game.
