What is the upcoming Briarheart Scalebreaker nerf?

I've come across comments in zone chat multiple times now that Briarheart is going to get nerfed but in the patch notes it's only mentioned once:
So what is the nerf and why will it make the set useless?
Briarheart: This set will now place an appropriate buff icon on your Effects Bar and Character Sheet.

Now, it'll show a buff icon on your screen.
Doesn't exactly sound like a nerf to me...4 -

✭✭✭✭✭That set doesnt need a nerf, in my opinion it needs a slight buff. Lower CD to 10s.

✭✭All they are doing is updating the UI so you can see when the sets effect in active.
After the patch you will be able to open your character page and see the buff, like any other active ability.2 -

daemondamian✭✭✭✭I'm not sure why it needs another visual cue to be on screen as currently you get the golden glowing ropes around your forearms when the heal is active (?) unless of course it's an icon and note in the character sheet to indicate that in general you're wearing the set.
I wanted the set for my stamblade alt and aside from infused guards I got from a chest I ended up buying the other armor pieces I wanted fairly cheaply at trading guilds and upgrading them with my mastercrafter main.
I also got jewelry but I think I might hold on to it rather than selling it because I hate farming Wrothgar for a set for personal use against all the other players farming to make profit.1 -
highkingnm✭✭✭✭I saw the same thing in Wrothgar chat today. Right after the guy who sold three daggers had sold them. Hmm, almost like they want to keep the market cornered during the event.2 -
