Anyone know of any good combos? Damage/survivability/etc.

The builds online are usually only for open world cp and don't typically work in BGs.

Next patch: replace the front bar set with Elemental Succession.

Rattlecage, Bright-Throat's Boast, 1pc Chudan + 1pc Pirate Skeleton -- 5 light, 2 heavy. Defending Inferno Staff on the front (shock enchant) and Defending Resto Staff on the back (weapon damage enchant). Infused jewelry with Spell Damage glyphs. Mundus is the Atronach and race is Breton.

Resistances are 32k SR and 25k PR with just Volatile Armor. In no-CP, Spell Damage is 3k, Max Magicka is 28k, Stamina is 15k, Health is 23k, and Magicka Recovery is 1.6k. Spell Penetration can go up to 10k if you use Ele Drain.

    I'll give swift a try.
I've been trying to get a BSW inferno, but those don't drop for me.

I have rattlecage right now- I'll try pairing it with chudan and pirate. been using bloodspawn.

The most effective ones I've seen for mDK are these combos, for Destro/Resto:

    Skoria / BS / Barlogh
    +
    Pariah / Impreg / Swift
    +
    BSW / Innate Axiom
    +
BRP Resto / Willpower frontbar(bsw backbar)

Breton/High Elf/Dark Elf. All of them works.

Spinners and Axiom slimecraw monster, or Rattlecage Sun Skoria and max mag/regen drink.
Alot of your survival is mistform and positioning.

Caulerons+skoria+innate axiom. Destro front bar, endurance 1hs back bar (for bigger coag heals with structured entropy).

I think that speccing into heavily into defense is not worth it in BGs. You either are in a good group that can afford to go full offense and rely on team heals or a dedicated healer. Or you’re with a bunch of pugs that run around like crazy and lack any sort of coordination or opposable thumbs. In that case, I die quickly anyways irregardless of running a defensive set.

The dilemma is real. Go offensive or have some spec into defence. But the Truth is after a certain threshold of no of BGs you have done, you'd end up against premade groups even as a solo que and then be ready to be mowed down. Pugs barely stand a chance there.
So IMO all the combos mentioned above are good and all of them work. You have to find out which one is most appealing for you.
My suggestion, Spinner+BSW/Shacklebreaker+ Grothdar/ BS. Go full damage, because most of DK heals also benefit from better spell Dmg I.e.embers ...

I finally got my BSW Inferno staff earlier today- so I've been toying around with that.

I was going to give swift a try, but that set is too expensive- and that area in cryodil is always filled with AD.

Mist Form helps a bit, but there is virtually no escape when you factor in all the gap closer abilities.

Is BRP restro hard to get? Does it take long?

You can get it on normal as well. Only difference is extra mag recovery on perfected drop from vet.

Silks of the Sun performs better than ES unless you struggle to stay on the offence.

Mistform is a hard carry for survivability, you'll do better in BG's and generally in the game if you learn to play without - Just work on your positioning.

Last night I was rocking 5 innate axiom on the body, BSW inferno front bar, Death’s wind S&B backbar with pirate skele helm/shoulders. Dropped vampire and used RaT instead. The build is totally up in the air, but I felt tangy enough with those sets. I used to run light brass, but I felt the additional resistances with no resources was a waste. I’m still playing around with the skills, but I had some good success with

FB: lash, embers, engulfing, ele drain, petrify, leap.

BB: fragmented, RaT, volatile armor, degeneration, flex spot, magma/undo.

I play a glass cannon type build.

    5x Knight Slayer
    5x Elegant
    2x Skoria

Pump up your Heavy Attack Damage w/ Oblivion Enchants and Knight Slayer 5pc bonus.

Heavy Attack - Stone Fist - Molten Whip. Can do some serious damage to unexpecting people.

How? Elemental succession gives roughly 200 more spell dmg than Silk if you count 2-4 pc bonuses.

I run Bright throat + BSW and 2 piece Skoira but I’ll be changing to Bloodspawn. I want to try and run double inferno staff and hope the bloodspawn and the armor heal is enough sustain to survive

I thought it was 8 down 4 up to be honest - So Silks is literally useless! Fair.
