Please fix (or even acknowledge) Pummeling Goliath Bash on Console, ZOS

ZOS, the longer this broken skill is live on console, the more abusers of this skill are learning. You know how the ONLY way to counter bashers is to spread out when you see them and kite them, right? Well, bashers on console have realized that if they exit the postern door and sneak into keeps behind their attackers, they can transform unseen and wipe the group from behind before they even have a chance to realize what has happened. Lone bashers are deleting entire groups of well-experienced PVPers who have capped resistances or close to capped resistances in seconds. When the basher is also Emperor? Gods help you. They’re cheesing the skill as much as they possibly can. They’re using it to destroy bridges, they’re pairing it with VD for “the lulz”, and they’re even wasting it on individual players just to grief them.

Approximately 90% of the death recaps I’ve seen in Cyrodiil this past weekend have featured full strings of bash cheese. These deaths occur in seconds and are uncounterable when they occur in close quarters. The only way to somewhat enjoy Cyrodiil on console at the moment without wiping to necro bash cheese is to fight in open fields, not in keeps. It is the ultimate troll ultimate, and the longer it goes unpatched, the more other wannabe trolls are hopping on the bandwagon.

Can we please get an actual ETA on a fix? If you’re planning on patching it with Scalebreaker, then I’m going to look forward to playing other games during the coming month.

It took them 5 patches to fix it on PC. Unsure on how much content is the console patches considering how they are usually delivered with a different cadence but I would probably expect it to be fixed soon. But not this week since the header isn't saying patch maintenance.

I believe console must wait until Update 23.

Agree that contending with groups of 3-6 Bashcros is annoying. If they don't get you, Loadscreen will.

My fear is that they’re going to patch it with Scalebreaker, which is only releasing for us at the end of August. ZOS has an embarrassingly long track record of leaving broken sets/skills/passives unpatched on console long after they’ve been patched on PC. See, for instance, the WW Torugs bug that went unpatched on console for an eternity. BGs were full of 40k health troll WW premades abusing the bug for easy wins.

From what I understand, it is possible for developers to expedite the patch approval process with Sony and Microsoft. ZOS never does, though, so we’re left to deal with game breaking bugs for a lot longer than PC players...

STILL waiting for console nerf. It takes 5 minutes to make a post AND ACTUALLY COMMUNICATE with your console player base. We all pay you endless amount of money for this game. Really not hard to respond to us when we say SINCE THE PTS that bash build was broken.

Btw pve is broken too. Can’t see any ads spawn in or most mechanics. Plan on fixing this before the new dungeons release orrrrr

Well they did communicate on this but I'm not sure it was done in a good way as the message hasn't reached everyone.

So we must wait until Scalebreaker apparently.

I mean the console patching process hasn't changed in 5 years so I guess you will have to wait the next major update to get changes.

You do realize, right, that we recently got PART of the same update that PC got (you know, the one that fixed Pummeling Goliath Bash)? This isn’t an issue with the patch certification process — this is an instance of ZOS failing to recognize that fixing this skill promptly for all platforms was a priority.

Seriously ZOS, if you’re going to pick and choose which aspects of PC’s patches you’re going to deliver to us in a timely fashion, at least pick the most important aspects.
