Congrats! Takes a lot of patience & focus! I was currently stuck on stage 5 for two months. Finally got active in a guild where I met some people that helped me change my build & beat stage 5 easily. Stage 6-8 weren’t too bad. But now I’m on the final stage. (feeling discouraged because I was told by a person that it took them months before they could finish this stage!) Wish me luck! I’m ready for that dang Stormproof title.
Oh & happy for you too btw for getting a bow. I’m hoping I get my lightning staff I need!

The last stage is not that bad. Im a ZOS sponsored streamer that does vma tutorials and have walked so many people through it. The way I teach it, it's a dance. You have to learn the foot work. Once you do it becomes so much easier then any of the rng rounds like five and seven. If you truly want help , stop by my stream. I can be found on twitch by the same name here on the forums. I'll be glad to show you how to master it.

This is the most frustrating stuff I have ever had the misfortune to play. And I have been playing games for 20 years. People keep saying "oh, just use this build, it is SO easy!" and I want to punch them in the face.
I feel like I am running against physical limitations- to be quick enough to sidestep meteors/ghosts/crem guards and skulls of death, keep my potion up, cast and keep track of my resources. It is just too much at the same time. I know what to avoid I just can´t manage to. And I am playing alcast´s 1 bar sorc build for crying out loud so I don´t even have to swap bars and I have pets to buffer the incoming damage a bit.

Up to the last round I had no problems. Sure, I died a couple of times each arena, especially the poison one, but nothing remotely as frustrating as the last round I have been stuck on for hours and hours now... and the best I managed is destroying 2 crystals. Then I usually fall down and get roasted by a guard. And all for a staff that is not even guaranteed.

sorry, had to vent a little. Better than hitting my head against the wall. In case you wonder why I keep trying now..because pets get nerfed soon and I don´t think I´d manage on a stam build. I wanted to finish it at least once for the achievment and statue.

I'd say you are doing pretty well for your first time if you didn't need to bang your head on the wall until the last round of stage 9. If you are aware of the mechanics, yet you see yourself repeatedly falling after a crystal or two, did you try jumping down on your own instead of waiting to get knocked down so the drop is more controlled?

I'm still struggling in Stage 5 xD

    Stage 5 is easy.

    1. Make sure you have an interupt. Ranged preferable (but if your a stam not essential) If your a mag an easy one is crushing shock or if your a Stam use the arrow one or bash
    2. Focus the archers. They will kill you in 2 or 3 shots and 1 if they enrage. They’ve got to go down ASAP
    3. Second focus the mage/secondary ads they do nasty damage if left unchecked. If things get nasty group stuff up and drop an aoe destro
    4. Make sure you interupt the trolls . On rounds 1-3 it’s not essential but final round it’s essential
    5. The bosses don’t actually do that much damage in this whole fight so them. Use the shield sigil to suppliement your shield or heal
    6. The last boss is easy. This is the cheese way. Nuke it to 90% kill the archers, kill the mage , kill the add and the troll, kite boss to swift sigil and drop it to 75% gtfo the island. Rinse and repeat on the other two islands down to 50 and 25% (the reason you do the swift island first is that the other sigil are a bit more useful as your resources drop toward end of fight) if things get hairy then drop that aoe ultimate on the adds

Vma is all about learning what to focus first and in what order. Dps is relatively secondary tbh. I’m pretty sure my only puts out 20k or so and I can sail through it 0 death

Don't give up. Let me tell you a horror story. The first time I faced Voriak Solkyn, he butchered me. He killed me so many times, my self-esteem and confidence was shattered. I was annoyed, furious and frustrated.

For three days I kept at it, 400 soul gems wasted. But then I got him. I sent him to Oblivion. And his crem guards along with him. Nearing his death my heart was pounding out of my chest. My hands were sweaty and I was shaking.

And then, euphoria. The absolute best feeling a game has ever given me. Trust me, you won't forget that for a long time.

Now for the mechanics, this is what I did, because I was a stage 4 vampire, crem guard meant a death sentence. So as soon as the boss appeared, I dropped my destruction ultimate and burned him down to 70 percent, in between blocking for a second so I don't get knocked back by his skull.

This way, no crem guard comes and he goes straight up. Go upstairs, drop dots on the crystal, and burn it until first wall appears (make sure to dodge skulls) keep hitting it while moving with the wall, then if you are near another crystal, drop dots on it. Try to get all three in one go. You can stay up until after the second wall has been destroyed.

If you can't, try taking power sigil before coming up.

Once you destroy all three crystals he will push you down into lava, run straight towards the Shield Sigil and take it asap. This way his next attack will reflect back at him. Drop dots and start attacking as you collect the Golden Ghosts.

First one appears soon after, the boss will change his location a couple of times. Once you've taken the third golden ghost, a crem guard will appear.

Synergize right away to stun everything. Drop dots on boss, drop ulti and burn. Hopefully you would have killed him by then.

vMA is much easier once you realize that any normal build doesn’t work as well. Once you slot some more survivability and know the 1 shot mechanics it’s all down hill.

The Crematorial Guardians were the single most frustrating part of the entire damn place. But I figured it out! Here's how I handle it on my magden
You might want two bars for this. On one bar I have DoTs/AoEs, a heal, and a shield- for me that's Blockade, Winter's revenge, Fetcher Infection, Shimmering Shield, and Enchanted Growth. On the other I've got shalks/Force Pulse/netch/ele drain.

Position yourself next to the defense sigil. DPS him til he throws the necrotic orb at you, then grab the defense sigil. His necrotic swarm attack will reflect off of you. DPS him hard. I can never get him down to 70% before the guardian spawns, so I make sure to kill the healer too. Once the guardian spawns, swap to your DoT bar. Hit a heal, then get super close to him (practically on top of him) and circle him, alternating a heal.shield and a DoT/AoE. This'll get him down quickly enough.

Kill the clannfear and take the portal up. Hit the crystals a few times, block/dodge the orb, then DPS til he blows up the wall and throws the next orb. After that, the damage is usually getting to be a lot for me to handle, so I position myself over the healing sigil, drop down on top of it, grab it, and then do the same circle heal/DoT strategy for the guardian. Then back up top to finish off the crystals.

When he blows me downstairs, I run and grab the power sigil, then interrupt his swarm attack. Grab ghosts, use spectral explosion... win. And yeah, I know another guardian spawns down there, and I've died to that a bunch too, but if you can get that circle/heal strategy down, you'll be able to get this one down too and will eventually be able to get the dude down before it spawns.

I was ready to throw my computer out the window a few times, and they still DO kill me sometimes, but knowing that I have an actual, effective strategy has helped a lot.

I do it on magblade. I pretty much weave light attack and swallow soul on everyone except bosses where I'll do a rotation. So while I'm clicking two buttons and constantly healing I can focus on mechanics. I spec CP to buff single target damage. Mother sorrow + false god, + slimecraw + double bloody mara, I use chudhan for stage 7 and 9. The crystals will be even easier to kill after patch with the buffs to single Target dots. Same for the boss bc when he teleports fewer aoes to move out of.

    Congrats !

I am at round 8 currently (vMA). The problem is, that I made my build around WW. Next update I will either have to try different approach to my build & change it, or... Just to abandon WW & try it with something else, which I would like to avoid... :disappointed:

Thanks for the encouragement and additional hints. Much appreciated!
I was saving up the sigils for the last fight downstairs. Using those may actually give me a break to heal up some and restore mana. When I die it is mostly due to lack of resources at a point where my health goes down (stunned, fire). I am a vamp but I do this on stage 1.
The alcast build (1 bar pet sorc) is pretty tanky. I have tried this on worldbosses and can solo them (those I tried) with no probs. Just takes a while to get them down.

I may also try another skill to burn down the crytals faster. I have only the 2 pets and lightning splash + the staff. The rest of my skills are for shields, running and healing. Swapped bound aegis for harness magicka.

Using Longfin and spell pots as advertised in the build.

Put some dots on back bar, like liquid lightning and blockade of storms/fire. Drop those on crystals right away.

    Power sigil on way up.
Defense sigil asap you come down then take speed and health ones while catching gold ghosts.

I'm still struggling in Stage 5 xD

never gonna get that damned greatsword
The tricks of Stage 5 is not to do too much damage to boss, adds will spawn at factions of his health so if you drop an ultimate it will get lots of adds so just put some dots on him and focus the adds, on last boss trolls need to die as if they break any platform you will die.

Then the boss start jumping run to the next platform, have the power sigil at the last platform and then you run to that use it and then burn boss

For me its Stage 6, always miss some horvor who end up dying some place I don't see them or I can not get an line up for a covered pillar, can not find any pattern to this fight and the second time you miss an horvor or webspinner you die.
Grinding just make you go in circles.

Yeah and you can't let that little spider stay alive or he makes you really slow until you can't practically move. So many things to look out for in that stage.

Because of the dot upstairs I like to use the healing sigil before going up. Remember to BLOCK the skull upstairs. (It's cheaper than doing a roll dodge.) When you get down after the third crystal, you need to either interrupt the boss or get the shield sigil.

I keep my ultimates in case I get thrown down before I am being able to do all the crystals, so I can burn the daedroth easily.

If you don't do lots of damage or have single target dots you can put on all the crystals, you might need two rounds upstairs anyway, because the dot upstairs gets really strong.

So they are nerfing aoe dots and buffing the dots that wont even be relevant on the mobs that die in 2 or 3 spammables anyway (those 3 sec tick from the dots will deal less than the spammable), well ye, it will be easier to nuke last boss, and other bosses, but i wouldnt say "it will be easier", since the bosses are the easy part.

ppl must understnad that there is still fighting to do after burn the crystals - i also recommend do this in 2 stages-
when downstairs if u were like me,you proly dont have enough juice left-used the ultimates upstairs-
so they must be prepared when Voriak comes down, also using a defensive monster helm set is a good idea for last stage
good luck and never give up,you can do it
