Is magblade easier to play than stamblade in terms of survivability and rotation complexity?

You have an instant disengage/ reset in PVP/ PVE and you can easily weave nasty combos into a lightning staff heavy attack. Stamblade certainly requires more finesse, but both have a high skill ceiling for dedicated players.
Mageblades and stamblades are different things and to this you have to add the different Builds you have.
As I created my mageblade long time ago there was no bgs and I wanted to make a magetank which in Cirodill was terrible.
Yesterday I decide to put an defensive + sustain set which makes him not an assassin but a very annoying character very hard to kill that can also output a very considered amount of damage enough to kill but not as terrible fast.
I'm happy, is the kind of things I see it works for me. I hate when I play bgs and I do it terrible and my builds doesn't work. For me a good build is not that one that makes a lot a lot of damage but those which I can accomplish the objectives, do my part, be useful, independent, dangerous and defend myself.
yes cloak op the only spell that requires a dedicated counter to be slotted, unlike any other ability that can be countered through normal means

I think magblade’s easier, but I started with magblade so I’m not sure and it might just be I’m used to it.
I tried stamblade in no-CP and hated it, you can’t dodge roll enough without the CPs to reduce the cost and all Nightblade utility costs magicka. As a stamblade you have to be conservative with magicka, as a magblade you can spam for days.
I also found magblade better self healing.
If you like BGs I’d go magblade, Stamblades just don’t do well in my experience.
Yesterday in bgs I was able to fight one after another and killing them. The most fun I had it when two guys took it personally and they were resurrecting to come to kill over and over again to die in my hands.
.
I had a mageblade as Banker for years because I was unsuccessful in pvp and yesterday I came across an idea with a set I had already with another character, and wow I just had an incredible good time in PvP.
Not too much damage, but incredible versatile and damn powerful in 1 vs 1 or more.
The only way to kill me was shutting me down and kill me before I could get back in combat, otherwise forget it.

I will keep playing and try to optimize it more. But I'm happy I finally was able to find some use for it. Also is very fun to play with the set of skills NB have, the teleport, the fear the vanishing and etc. Is very different from any other class.

Does anyone still play as a duel wield or 2h magblade? I’ve always wanted to play a melee magblade but wasn’t to sure how viable it was

It's possible but you lose out on the damage potential from light attack weaving. I would suggest a lot of magicka regen and boost your speed if you do want to try 2H or DW.
2H might be more popular coming up with the changes to Onslaught but personally I'll stick with Destro/Resto.

That's a shame, that basically makes concealed weapon useless other than the speed bonus.
