XP scrolls and grinding XP

Hello!

Where is a good spot to gring XP? Got ESO Plus, so I should be able to have access to most of the areas.

Do battlegrounds give a lot of XP?

Thank you!

Lots of folks will grind the dolmens in alk'r desert or run skyreach catacombs.

the battlegrounds and unduanted dungeon random dailies give a ton of xp...

depending on your level (your team has to place 1st or 2nd in battlegrounds) you can go up at least a full level for completing, with an xp scroll and at lower levels you can go up 2 or 3 levels...

the dolman grind is just too mind numbingly boring...

Where I grinded XP on my alts:

    - Skyreach Catacombs: only if you have a partner.
    - Alik'r Desert Dolmens: are a shitshow, and if you don't have a high end PC, you will experience lag and insane frame drops.
    - Spellscar: run in circles, spam AOEs = profit
    - Sentinel Dockyard: nice place to farm XP and Fleshfly Larva which you can sell for gold.
    - Daily Dungeon and Battlegrounds: get a ton of XP from them.
    - Master alchemy and enchanting writs: aren't that expensive, you only need to grind alchemy and enchanting to lvl 50 which is also pretty easy if you have ESO Plus, they give tons of XP

Edit to the above post (and a bump, all in one): add endlessly killing NPC's - boring...

the true end game begins at level 10...have a plan, learn quick and adapt, or, you'll just be part of someone elses kill count :)

    1. Grab a Exp Scroll, preferably the ones you get for free from daily reward. 50% is good and 100 or 150% even better.
    2. Grab 2 sets of gear preferably crafted, one with all training and another with all impenetrable.
    3. With training gear, whatever zone you start in, go to alkir and do a few dolmens or do some quests or some random stuff to get to level 10.
    4. Once you reach level 10, 1st do a Random dungeon and after that go Ham on BG with your impenetrable gear.

This should get you easily to level 30-40 and after that do the Main story quest. Doesn't take too long and gives tons of exp. That should get you to level 45+ After that you can grind anywhere you want and 50 is not that far away.
This is the least expensive way IMO without paying gold to anyone for a carry in skyreach. Takes about 20- 24 hours of game play time to reach level 50.
And di I say use the exp scrolls? The free ones 😉

    - If you want to level efficiently, do one random normal dungeon a day and that's it. If you feel secure about Battlegrounds, you can do one Random Battleground per day, too. From level 45 on, you can do pledges, too. In random normal, I level Stamina DPS as Tank (heavy Hunding's, because you can do still dps on back bar) and Magicka DPS as healer (Julianois).
    - You might do some Public Dungeons for skill points, to, just get in there, kill the group event boss and collect the skyshard, up to the next one. You don't get many XP, but some and you need to go there anyway, so why not while leveling?
    - If you want to do sth like "level up to 50 in 5 hours" you need: 1. A good grind spot. 2. A Leveling Partner. (You can try to invite someone who's grinding alone.) 3. Training Gear.
    - Dolmen Grind is good to bring your fighter's guild to 10 while leveling and to level up some of the lesser used skill lines. Just equip those skills you normally wouldn't.

-> If you are actually new to the game and don't have CP yet: The CP Grind to CP 160 I'd definitely do at Dolmen, because the changes to gear are really fast from level 50 to CP 160. Just get to CP 160 and then pay someone to craft you a first set of CP 160 gear.
-> If you are leveling to 50 without CP, I definitely wouldn't grind at Dolmen. You need to learn how to play the game and by that I mean the basics. Random normal dungeons are a good way, also is Maelstrom Arena in Wrothgar (far in the north-east), where you can learn movement (when to block, dodge etc.) and level fighter's guild at the same time all alone. Find a training partner and do the Public Dungeons. It can be good XP, too, and you get sky shards and skill points along the way which you would want anyway.
-> If you are grinding Champion Levels, just don't do it after CP 300. Because of how Enlightenment works, you'll get to max CP anyway.

I just created a Necromancer. I don't know how to play the class efficiently yet and my gear is crap so I queue for Battlegrounds before using a +150% xp scroll. I use it if my team is about to win, otherwise I don't use it yet and queue for another match. Using the scroll at the end of a guaranteed BG match is really efficient imo. Then I immediately queue for the random daily dungeon. With this method you gain the most out of a scroll and still have plenty of time left. Also don't forget to set a bar that includes at least 1 skill from each of the skill lines you want to improve and swap to it right before getting the massive xp.

I used to run the loop of adds at the bottom of the giant, descending room in forgotten wastes. They give a bunch of xp and respawn fast. I got to 50 in like 2 days that way.

Take a mixture of what everyone is telling you, because honestly your character will end up needing a little bit of everything.

    You'll need to do:
BGs / Cyrodiil to level up Assault/Support Skill Lines
Dolmens / Skyreach / Undead grinding areas to level up Fighter Skill Line
Skyshards / Exploration for Skill points and potentially Mages Guild Skill Line (if you need either of them)

I'd also throw in the Psijic Skill Line if you're a Mag character as well. If you do about 5 mins of research beforehand, you can knock out some lorebooks, skyshards, and psijic breaches in the same zone.

My cousin have a routine every time we make a new toon to level to 50.

We make a new toon, and we get a pledge of mara so we get the +10% XP boost when questing together. We knock out our daily battleground and dungeon. For the bulk of the grind, we run the dolmens in Auridon. Everyone always says run the Alik'r Dolmens, but I feel you it's less of a headache to run the Auridon dolmens. Not nearly as many people. We always have scrolls active. We'll speed run some story questlines as well. If we are on PvP characters, we'll hop into Cyrodiil once we reach level ten, and start doing any daily mission we can as well as help capture keeps.

Also, If you're in a zone doing dailies, pick up a lot of side quests, too. But don't turn them in after you complete each individual one. Save up a bunch of dailies and side quests to turn in, one right after the other.
