keep getting disconnected

any one know how to stop getting disconnected, zos does nothing. if i use zone chat I get disconnected very often. any tips greatly appreciated: port forwarding / triggering, turning off firewalls antivirus, I've tried all this doesn't stop the problem. I have no packet loss or fragmentation. happens in pve or pve . I have 100mb broadband.

Have you repaired your game?

Also an old one for this was to delete your UserSettings file as that can become corrupted, this one worked for me a few times

I used to have this problem for literally months. Some days it was so bad I had 10+ disconnects in the same hour.
Did all the troubleshooting from ZOS till they ran out of ideas.
Contacted my ISP and they were looking into it.
Then suddenly... no more problems. ISP said they didn't do anything. ZOS said they didn't change anything.
No one knows what caused it or what made it go away.
Either someone isn't saying something or it's somewhere in between ZOS and my ISP.
Frustrating for sure.

Might want to get your ISP started on investigating. They'll give you various troubleshooting steps to try as well. Can't hurt.

I had the digital structure that forms the data path start having issues. The data flowed fine except when the digital pipe collapsed. They did not detect any issues when they did a remote test but the tech that visited found several issues.

It started as something random but then because very frequent, every few minutes.

I had an weird issue with my old router and cable modem, I got disconnects every odd day but never then using internet all the time, so eso was fine so was youtube, but if you wanted to open an web page net was down, had to be an modem issue as I ran trough an bucket or routers.

And yes don't put all your boxes on top of each other into an small cabinet, they generate heat.
Lots of consumer network equipment is build by the lower bidder possible and fail if warm, cold or looked at the wrong way.
Luckily the new combined cable modem and router is flawless.

Do you have a set up where your phone and broadband are connected into a splitter at the phone junction box?

If your disconnection problems extend beyond the game, the problem might be a damaged phone wire. Phones are fed by two paired wires and both are needed for the phone to work (there are usually four wires - only two are connected, unless another phone number is set up in the building) Broadband will work if one wire is intact, but will keep shutting down for a short time, and then come back on, if one wire is damaged. If one of the wire pair eventually breaks, the phone will stop working.

If you have this set up, and one of the paired wires is damaged, you'll possibly hear hissing or crackling when the phone is used. Long shot but worth thinking about.

let me c I can sit on other games all day no disconnects no lag probs. It's only this game that has prob, specifically when I start to use chat or use my inventory, or write zos a ticket. It happens mostly in cyro, but happens even late at night when the population is very low so isn't anything to do with large groups causing disconnects.

maybe I'll have to put wire shark on the pc and look at the tcip packets and see if try to identify why the game disconnected.

I'm always connected to the eu servers 159.100.200.139 and 159.100.200.100.
I could try and connect to the us servers and see if I have the same problem.

if your playing games like eso really you should be on full fibreor cable. twisted pair is too unreliable.

If you uninstall ESO, you will stop having disconnection problems.
