@Browiseth Generations have nothing to do with BR in ESO.
The concept of BR games does not mesh well with a game like ESO. FO76 added it but what do all BR games have that ESO does not?
Guns.
When you get a gun in Fortnite, Apex, FO76, PubG, you don't then get a whole list of skills associated with that type of gun. As soon as you pick up a shotgun, you have a close range gun you can hold into for close combat. You can pick up a sniper for range attack. What does ESO have?
No guns.
ESOs weapons are based on the skills. Skills scale off weapon/spell damage and max magic/max stamina. No where in Fortnite or PUBG is there ANYTHING like that.
ESO is much more complex. In Fortnite, a player can just start playing and have 0 disadvantage to someone who has been playing for years except personal experience (so learning to build and what controls to do what). No one in other BR games have anything XP that makes them better than another player. If I went against Ninja in Fortnite, he literally has no skills/passives that makes him have a higher advantage than I. The only thing he has over me is experience so if I find Ninja without a gun and I have one, guess who has the advantage? Ninja wont have resistant passives, he wont have impen trait on to lower my critical hits, he wont have a skill to disappear like Nighblades have. He wont have a potion to make him disappear either.
Even OP is asking or concepts which even OP knows adding BR to ESO would be complex and hard because ESO is complex. There's already builds in ESO that carry players. Proc sets. Does any other BR games have Proc sets?
Instead of crying that it is "generations hating", actually think of concepts and how it could be implemented. Others already have and know it's a terrible idea.

pretty much this^ how would BR even work in ESO? Would you have your sets equipped and then you have to find a weapon? What if Im on a stam toon and all I can find are staves? Or vice versa? So you may get lucky and find a weapon in your set, or you might not? What about CP? Would everyone start in white non-set gear? Would everyone have the same skills available? There are just too many variables and build types for BR to even come close to working in a game like this4 -

✭You can build an battle royal mode without loot imo. You don’t have to copy the fps mechanics.
Battle Royale refers imo to one huge zone with a lot of players and last man standing gameplay.
They can even use some of the already existing zones as battle Royale battleground.

I personally just thought it was an injustice for a bunch of forum zergers to shut down a thread by being toxic rather than making much point, and would rather see actual discussions on why it wont work, or why some think it would. Well, as far as "zergers" responses, it's not so much being toxic as it is seeing this popping up by one poster whose only response is "I don't care, I want it" over and over again.
As far as actual discussions, there are pages here and in the other locked thread explaining not just that we DON"T want this but how and why it won't work in ESO.
I posted link to all the other threads on this subject from the last 3 years showing the same "discussions" on why it won't work.
I posted a interview with Rich Lambert on the subject and his response of no and why.
All in all this has been a very civil thread, except for 1 or 2.

Ok, you want reasoning as to why we don't don't want a Battle Royale mode in ESO?
I don't want to pull people away from the current Cyrodiil PVP, or Battlegrounds PVP community for a game mode I have no interest in at all. If you really must have a Battle Royale mode with a fantasy theme.. Have your tried Ashes of Creation Apocalypse?
The PVP Battlegrounds community is already pretty small. We definitely don't need more game modes further dividing the playerbase.4 -
Nothing, I got bored of KOTH gameplay in mods for Quake, I sure don't want to play a similar ruleset in this day and age.
I don't think it would fit with ESO anyways, the potential for cheesing would be incredible, it would basically become hide and seek, or would require some core mechanics to be nerfed.
