Sounds like they are indeed taking it seriously insted of vague promises that 'we will eventually fix it' and then just silence about the topic.
I think this step of transparency will go a long way to garner goodwill from the playerbase; sometimes all we need to hold on to our faith in the game is a little crumb of hope. These updates and the dev team's communication may very well be the difference between someone writing off the game entirely and hanging around because they can now trust the devs' commitment to fixing the issues.
So, overall good job, I'm sincerely hoping they'll be able to keep those plans, we'll see I guess. But I have hope at least.
