Phantom Moderation Now?

I had a post in this Topic, https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/485584/crown-sale-on-now#latest, deleted with no communication from @Zos_ . No reason, no warning.

This is new tactic and I find it quite disturbing.

I know it's thier forums and they can do whatever they want. I know I clicked AGREE to the TOS when I joined.

Still it is, in my humble opinion, another sign of the direction the game and it's community is headed.

I am sorry to see this happening.

Let’s all repost our deleted posts.

I posted the following picture in a thread about someone “not having a reason to play anymore”

It got 10 “awesomes” before an angry mod deleted it.

The hilarious thing is, often the posts they delete have useful information. So instead of snipping the offensive bits, they decide that they're just going to nuke the entire post. What's even worse is that they don't even read how 'offensive' posts start. And before a mod tries to come in and say that they all follow 'protocol' or that they 'do read', there's been more times than not that they've moderated one post, but didn't take out the post that initially started it. If they can't do that, they don't need to be a moderator. Period.

It happens sometimes. Sometimes threads get locked, and other times they just... vanish. Sometimes its because they become unaccessible while underreview, and may be back, other times its just because they get removed without any notice.

It can happen to posts too, you know? Sometimes if you post something they do not want on their forums, your post will just go "poof" - other times, you also get a "don't do this again" warning (though those are often a bit vague as to where -exactly- the line is, so its still sometimes guesswork), and other times, they might just remove the offending bit...

Their forums, their rules of how to deal with stuff. I suggest, just roll with it, and not waste much thought about it except trying to avoid whatever it was that got something vanished!

if you would kknow how many times i got my posts deleted recently.... just shared my opinion on the current situations. and they could not handle the truth so they deleted it

Very common process here. Not a good pratice but definitely a common one.

Best advice is to not mention it. The suspensions on these forums are easy to achieve and imo sometimes capricious.

Mind you the moderation is an overall good just again imo a bit aggressive and at times one-sided.

It happens, and they don't always post in the thread that it is happening (or they post later that they are moderating the thread). If you don't hear from them about it, forget about it. If they really have an issue with what was said, they will let you know. Or, so I have been told.

You know what they are also great at?

Write "Edit for blablabla" at the end of the post, but not leaving a clue where the post was edited.

Your post might end up pretty ***, as if you were not able to construct sentences and paragraphs.
