I would strongly reccomend not getting this game through Steam. Steam offers no benefits and frequently has issues where people can not log in.

Buy it some other way and sub directly.

No matter how you buy the game, how often you pay is based on the length of your sub, and the amount always paid up front for the entire amount.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

PakKat "Everything was going well, until I died"
Gary Gravestink "I am glad you died, I needed the help"

I'm gonna' go out on a limb here, and say I think it may be a bit late to "not buy on Steam". OP sounds like he's already playing. :)

OP, to subscribe on Steam, you go to the game's page in your library, and select the "find more dlc in store" option.

It's pretty straight-forward from there. You can then manage your subscription from your Steam account options.

One thing that's nice about Steam is that subs cancel cleanly. I've read enough stories about double-billing and cancellations not working when handled directly through various MMO companies and their payment processors. I'm always nervous when I go direct.

This. Totally. There is no benefit to having the game via Steam and players have had trouble including numerous extended periods they could not log into the game.

It is always wise to avoid Steam when you can.

eso cannot log in steam site:forums.elderscrollsonline.com Look through the threads on the subject and you will see how wise Nestor's advise is sound.

Funny, the guy at work that originally got me to sign up for ESO was telling me stories about double billing for ESO+ when he does it thru steam. That and it not getting credited/started.

    Your experience may vary.

From my experience, its always easier for me to work with my Credit card company and directly with a company than it is trying to work thru a third party when dealing with purchases.

For Me, I'd be nervous about using steam as I have heard so many issues with it in other MMO's.

Weird. I haven't had issues with two MMOs now, including one that was a notorious double-biller and non-canceller when you went direct (*cough* Funcom *cough*). Guess it's always prudent to keep an eye out for issues ;)

    Hyper-Vigilence Mode, engaged!
