Since you asked, the game works for me, so I continue with my ESO Plus. I don't need a Crown Sale, though. Plenty of Crowns from ESO Plus.
I mean, it is not all happy sailing. There are bugs, but I can usually play the game around them, when I see them. They do have quirky customer support, and it is true that ZOS did not even reply to a query I sent them earlier this month. Sucked into the void like it never happened. I don't care for the Update 23 Pay For Convenience changes at all. For me, that sort of stuff will be the death of this game.

✭✭✭✭✭As much as I despise the performance of this game and that ZOS basically does nothing to improve it as much I love the new mounts coming in the New Moon Crates next season. So I’d unfortunately need some crowns... I’m just deciding if I take 5500 or 14000 on Xbox. Mhm... or even 21000? 40% at the high end is nothing to sneeze at. Buy a bunch, get a volume discount, budget your use of crowns for a while. It works nicely.
Also, I don't think the game was dying when the 50% sales happened, but it was still in the early history of One Tamriel and finding its stride. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
yeah, you're right, dying was a strong word, it was just struggling to find its place in the market. I'd say it' s definitely settled now.
I'm probably going to get a 40% pack and save it up for stuff as the year goes on. I did that last year and it worked pretty well. Just save your crowns now so you don't have to buy any later. Heh, to be fair I kind of agree with you. And then there's the other part of me that says, "Look, new costumes and that cute doggo!"
I just splashed out for a six month sub last month for my little Alfiq assistants, and part of me is regretting it for terrible reasons: declining performance and yucky nerfs, and six months of no new shinies because I got my big shinies already. It would be really nice to shut off that "ooo, shiny" part of me. I've started thinking that 5000 crowns on sale is looking pretty ok
