In my mind, the problem with motifs isn't the release timing but the ridiculous level of grind introduced into obtaining them. For the DLC dungeons in particular, it excludes a huge portion of the player base from even having any sort of reasonable chance at obtaining them. Bad game design designed deliberately to funnel people to the cash shop. It's revolting.

I personally think they're coming out too fast...hard to keep up nowadays...
