What's the Best type of staff to use with the Templar's Puncturing Sweeps skill?

As the title indicates which is the better to use with Puncturing Sweeps, Fire or Lightning Staff?

Damage over time AOE direct damage skill? You are contradicting yourself there. Unless you are counting the burning light proc you might get. Sweeps is 100% a considered a dot, as it is buffed by everything that buffs a dot. No direct damage in the skill itself.0 -

Damage over time AOE direct damage skill? You are contradicting yourself there. Unless you are counting the burning light proc you might get. Sweeps is 100% a considered a dot, as it is buffed by everything that buffs a dot. No direct damage in the skill itself.
then why does it proc Selene? set which is procced by direct melee attacks.
there are very many abilities and effects which are wrongly considered inside the game and long discussed. Move on-PC EU- / battlegrounds on my youtube1 -

because that is a bug? and you cant use that set to determine anything, it says "direct melee damage". use valkyn and nerien'eth, they are very specific, only dot or only direct damage, try to get nerien'eth to proc with jabs, it wont but valkyn procs easy. hell, till last patch, deadly cloak procced selene's, so you really ought not use that set as a benchmark.
and telling someone to move on makes you look like you don't really have much faith in your argument.0 -

Are you using ONLY puncturing sweeps or are you mixing in other abilities and light attacks too? Also, PvP or PvE?0 -
Tanis-Stormbinder✭✭✭✭✭The question was for meant PVE, and yes atm I use other mostly Templar abilities ( Blazing Spear, Vampires Bane, Solar Barrage, Radiant Oppression, Elemental Blockade, Race Against Time) tho that will change after the new patch drops.
