Give A Ride To A Friend With Your Mount

For those lacking a 60/60/60 spec, maybe allow the option add a peer to your mount. Crown store of course but I'd buy it.

Would function from F. Character would ask for ride, you would accept or decline.

Option to auto-decline mount requests in settings.

Possibility of a small ap fee for each ride. 250 AP or something.

Dismounting could happen either from player who asked for ride at any moment; "X"

Editing this as more ideas enter my brain.

Seems like a good idea, but the reason for wanting to get on a fast horse kind is muted by the mechanic of using F and going through that interface and waiting for the accept.

Instead, make it so anyone grouped with you can activate your horse and get on, limited to one other, on a first come first serve.

Would probably need to put a speed penalty on the horse with a double mount, say 15% to 20%...
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

Speed penalty makes sense. More weight, slower the horse.

Once again I find myself agreeing with the sage words of Nestor. Especially the part that the benefit if getting on a faster mount is negated by the delay of actually getting on the mount. The speed penalty makes sense as well if we are going to keep immersion, except with my mount since it is clearly superior to yours.

Sounds a bit self-defeating to me if I understand where this is going. I have a fast horse, you have a slow horse. You double up with me on my fast horse but with a double riding speed penalty we are now both on a slow horse. . . .

That said, I like the idea from a pure RP sense. With NPCs. For quests where you gain an NPC follower, my elf would love to be able to offer them to ride with her instead of jogging along behind her horse.

This would completely defeat the purpose and any benefit provided by buying a mount capable of this, for no good reason. Offering a convenience but having that convenience be...inconvenient makes the whole thing pointless except for RP purposes.

add mounts specifically designed to be passenger mounts? (disclaimer - before anyone goes, you just want to make this game more like WoW - I don't, I just think passenger mounts are cool)

it would have limited application, especially since we have a system of "travel to player" in place, but it could still be nice, as far as "experienced player helps newbie explore the world without them being essentialy at walking speed"
    dirty worthless casual.

And we should have a speed penalty for more things in our backpack. Not to mention depending on armor, heavy armor is a lot heavier than light armor. Makes sense that added protection comes at a price of speed. Slower dodging too. Would need to adjust speed for height (longer legs) and ... I think you know where I am going.

It wouldn't make sense at all because the game is not designed that way.

I doubt they would want to just add the option to standard mounts... and if they ddi, at a hefty penalty to speed and stamine I reckon. Possibly to ALL stats, even.

    So...
How about just adding some two-person mounts?
They could sell those for an higher price after all... letting people give rides without any penalties or something...
I could see two-horse chariots all across cyrodil... come on, you cannot tell me every imperial character is dreaming of that!
