Can anyone tell me what is the quickest way to farm this material?
Initially i thought it could be bought cheaply, but it is not sold by any merchant.
The only way to buy it is through guildes traders, but it's too expensive, 120-140 gold per piece ...

Farm rune nodes ... only way to acquire them.
Heavy sacks might contain them aswell.

They take an earnest effort to farm. The usage is high, ergo the cost.

    Reasonably so

A former friend told me of a route they used to do up by the top dolmens in Bangkorai they used to farm. I don't have a picture of it unfortunately but there's lots of runes/psijic portals up in that area.

    Happy farming

Rune nodes. As has been said.
Especialyl in regions where fewer other paople are farming nodes.

Like every furniture material, they only ever drop from standard nodes... you can either farm them yourself, or buy from those who do at guild traders. No shortcut here...

They are a pain to farm, most node farmers are after the refine-able mats, eg: wood/metal/cloth/leather/jewelry dust.

After that people tend to prioritize, alchemy plants.

Anyone who has the passive will go after Psijic portals/nodes for the varying quality loot they drop, the moment they notice them.

Most farmers tend to ignore rune nodes unless they are on the way and mundane runes don't drop too often so you have to farm a lot of them.

More often than not those on the market are gathered by people on the way to quest objectives, than dedicated farmers, they build up over time in people's craft bag's eventually they notice and sell them.

So they are always in short supply so the prices are high.

I know a lot of players ignore the rune nodes but as I never ever get Kuta from surveys (seriously, I kept a list of over 200 of those useless things) I don’t have a choice but to grab any I bumble past. My main problem is remembering to clear out the dam warehouse every now and then, I was dumping thousands of them on the market. Never had a problem really.
