Can't read quest items, add-on to blame, which one?

I'm having trouble read quest letters and books from inventory. Turned off all outdated add-ons, then I was able to do it, but allowing them and keeping them off to then turn on one by one has proven to be a slow troubleshooting strategy, as well as potentially flawed because of libs.
Anyone has any ideas which add-on(s) could cause this, or which libs? Driving me crazy.

It has settings to turn lore book etc texts off. You can just adjusts its settings.
