Twin blade and Blunt passive VS Ancient knowledge passive
A strange thing happening: Two swords with Twin blade and Blunt passive (+6% all damage) giving me more damage then lightning staff with Ancient knowledge passive (+8% area damage) while using Devouring Swarm and other skills! Actually I noticed that Two swords superior then any other weapon with equal characteristics. In my case Two sword give me 300 more spell damage then any other staff, though it supposed to be a stamina weapon. I don't complain, actually I like that diversity and nonlinearity. Hope Zos won't "fix" that. I just wonder why? What did I missed in my calculations?

✭✭✭✭your tooltip will be bigger with swords, not just because of the 6% but because the base spell damage is higher (1572 with dual swords VS 1335 for a lightning destro) and you get to use full nirnhoned + half a sharpened. nirnhoned alone will bring you spell damage up to 1772. so you are looking at a difference of 437 spell damage plus an extra 1286 spell pen and 6% damage boost VS 8% amp to only your aoe damage.
that is the trade off you get for not having fire/light/ice light attacks, which do a LOT of damage, on a dual swords build. your skills will be stronger but that does not make up for the loss of light/heavys from staffs.Edited by Lightspeedflashb14_ESO on July 18, 2019 8:24PM6
