Hmm, I can’t offhand think how any of the changes would boost the usability of netch’s touch. If anything, I expect a pve magsorc build to drop lightning damage abilities in favor of magic damage ones, such as soul trap and degeneration.
For fire, Silks of the sun (stonefalls) is more or less the equivalent of netch’s touch. You might consider instead a boost to magic damage (war maiden, vardenfell) rather than flame, given the vast majority of their class toolkit is magic, plus the probable use of soul trap and degeneration. However, this depends on your build.
Spell strategist is independent of fire, shock, frost, and magic abilities. It applies to one target, but AOE abilities will be doing less damage after the patch.
Pretty sure it will still be Mothers' Sorrow (unless I missed the nerf to shadow mundus in the Natch Potes) + Some sort of trial set, which will be content specific. MS + False God might not break records on the dummy, but it is really tough to beat in an actual 9 minute fight with movement.
MS + BSW is certainly viable and will pull excellent DPS on your magplar, but Ill take FG over BSW all day. If you want to parse on your magplar, go MS or Spell Strat and Siroria.
I dont see Netch making a comback on sorc, but crazier things have happened. I am certainly not deconstructing mine any time soon.
