ESO gaming on Tablet

Does anyone currently (2019) play ESO on a tablet? I know it's definitely doable on a laptop but I really need to find out if any tablets can handle the demand of ESO.
Any leads or info is helpful, thanks ;)

Laptops sure, its not very difficult to run the game in low settings, in laptops with integrated graphics, for some years now...
My son gamer laptop, in full graphics, crushes my PC xD

Tablets already run windows 8 and such! ->check

You can connect a keyboard & mouse by bluetooth (at least) which i never tested but its doable!
    ->check

But ... are there any tablets with a processor and graphics powerful enough to endure the game, even in low settings??

You might be able to run it on the Surface or one of the various "tablet" laptop thingies.

When you refer to tablets are you meaning the ones for paw rot or the ones for having eaten a bad stew?

I'm sure one of the newest Windows Surface tablets would run the game on lower settings. These are very expensive though so wont save you any money over a better performing PC or laptop.

Hm so the processor is the one thing that is going to really determine if ESO will play or not?

The biggest thing is the OS (needs Windows), after that the processor, then the graphics chip. I'm guessing most have some kind of integrated graphics. You might be able to play on low settings on the Surface. Not sure about other Windows convertible tablet/laptop hybrids like the Yoga.

Surface or the Dell flagship tablets would have enough juice to run it.

This is why it's so important when people are reporting performance issues that they mention what hardware they're trying to play the game on  !

Which is not to say that there aren't serious performance issues affecting all hardware, often the top end of the range as well as the bottom end of the range, but the hardware specs aren't something that can just be ignored in every case.

I guess that's why I'd not expect ESO to be playable currently on any Tablets...7750889a542c50c5b9a56dee7c4d2a3d.jpg

youtube "eso surface". Vids are outdated, so surface pro 5 probably could handle ESO. The price though... you can build medium high-end PC + PS4 pro lol

Run it on a distant computing / game streaming service like Shadow or Stadia and you'll be fine. (Requires a good internet connection though).

You could also stream the game over home network to the tablet from more powerful hardware using steam(add non steam game to library works). Cloud gaming VIA Google Stadia might also be an option. Microsoft is also rumored to be testing surface models using AMD APUs.

Ok, ummm. Have hardware that can run the game and stream it to a tablet in another room. Have external mouse and keyboard for tablet so I can play the game. Why am I using the tablet instead of the computer serving up the game? Sarcasm aside, I don't get this.

I guess it all depends on individual situations. If your other half is sleeping in the room where the gaming PC is, I can see the advantages of being able to play in another room (headphones aren't enough : there's screen light, keyboard noise, mouse clicks, etc.)

I'm not sure the OP is considering the tablet as an extra device though, but who knows.

I don't get it either lol. Why would you play on a tablet natively to begin with? You would still need an external input device. I just offered the current options available :) Maybe the OP wants to play ESO on the patio.

I assume OP is trying to choose a main device - not a second device.
At this stage, I'd consider any streaming option (local or cloud) as much more reliable for gaming than buying a tablet in the hope it will run games designed for full-blown PCs.

Could also roll with a convertible laptop like the surface book with a gtx 1060 or other 2 in 1 hinged devices with an Nvidia mx150.

Well as far as portable devices go, I'd say laptop is the closest option, because even if you stream it on a portable non-laptop device, you need input controllers given there is no UI at present which enables on-screen controls as available for games specifically developed to be played on portable devices such as Telephone or Tablets with touch input option available i.e Elder scroll blades.

I've got a Dell XPS 1050 with the 1050TI graphics card and when I travel, I can play the game on it just fine. Before I had an Alienware m14 with the m650 graphics card and 16 Gb ram when the game was launched and game used to be decently playable.

Currently, there are various streaming devices which enable you to run the game on a static machine somewhere and play the game on CLoud or Internet or both, but they have a built-in UI for those games but not ESO.

Razer used to sell a high end tablet PC (Edge Pro) which had an i7 and discreet Nvidia GPU. Even had a cradle which turned it into a large Nintendo Switch (Windows sees it as an Xbox controller). It runs ESO fine on mid settings at around 60 to 80 FPS. I still use it when I’m away from home and need an ESO gaming fix.

If you're going to play on a tablet, you'll have to transform it into a different device with keyboard/mouse or controller. Then the question becomes irrelevant.

Okay I see a lot of questions of why I (OP) even need to access ESO on a tablet and not just a PC or laptop.

If I am in a hospital waiting room for a long time, or if I am trying to relax outside away from my home, I would want something not bulky or distracting like a laptop. Just something small, low key, and handheld.

ESO on a tablet: so I can do light things in ESO such as selling items on guild stores, checking my character's mounts, doing the crafting dailies on my alts, these kind of things :)

    Then your answer is NO.
Whatever you choose (even streaming/cloud solutions), your device will always be expensive, and will require some sort of input extras (controller or keyboard+mouse). Thus forget about small, low key and handheld.

ESO is NOT a mobile game.

Some players have asked for an ESO app to do basic things (check sales, fill sales slots, feed horses, farming, crafting dailies, etc) but ZOS hasn't reacted. It's probably not even technically possible.

You can run ESO on a higher end SP3. Not WELL... but it will run on super low settings. ESO isn't touch friendly and you will still need a mouse and keyboard and full Windows install.
