What physical and spell res to aim for in pvp?

As far as I know the res cap is around 32k.
Is it wise to go a few thousand more than that as most classes have access to some resistance lowering abilities either actively or passively.
I was thinking maybe 35kish would be enough?
I am thinking of using Chudan, all impen trait on my gear and also Armor master set with Boundless armor on my magicka sorcerer.
All of this together ought to cap at around 35k.

✭✭✭✭Reach resist cap, you can even go above cause debuffs and penetration should be taken into consideration. Don't use chudan though, just get blood spawn, and throw a few protective in.(I know thats getting nerfed soon but Its OP in live server so go and abuse it I guess)
Also you can replace armor master with fortified brass and save yourself sustain and also have one less thing to worry about in combat.
Edit: Actually, I guess it should work better for magsorc since you guys use those shields way more often than we use shuffle, for natural reasons. I did not read the part where you said you're a magsorc, my bad.Edited by Ragnarock41 on July 16, 2019 10:56PM0 -

I would love to go with Bloodspawn instead of Chudan the thing is I hate the sorc animation when I use my major resolve, my char goes all transparent for 20 seconds. I just don`t like it...0 -

✭you should not pair Might Chudan with Boundless storm, they provide the same buff. Sure you can stack resistances but also you can do some resistances with damage reduction.PS NA

Royalthought✭✭✭✭✭With bleeds getting the nerf to not ignore resistance, you might as well at least hit cap. It has no real downside. Defile has been nerfed and has had its use limited as well.
Attacks that ignore resistance won't hit you any harder than anyone else.
High resistance builds are all around solid IMO.0
